1948 GMC truck on a late 80's S10 chassis.  Has 3.8l V6  This truck runs and drives great.  Just like an s10.  All the lights work.  Has aftermarket wiper setup.  I bought this truck as a project that someone started and took it to the next level.  The frame was extended to fit the right wheelbase.  New floors and firewall were fabricated to use the S10 dash.  The work that was done is very nice and solid.  The truck had metalwork done in all the usual places.  The bodywork is ok but not great.  Same with the paint.  Looks nice, but its not a showpiece.  I recently hooked the AC back up.  It blows cold, but not very strong.  It works good in the Florida heat.  Has all new glass and rubbers.  I also replaced the clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing.  Has plenty of new parts here and there including idler pulley, battery, starter, mirror and arm, oak bed floor and wear strips, door handles and much more.  The windows roll up and down fine.  Has a brand new set of 4 meaty tires.  Less than 200 miles on them.  Any questions, give me a call at 570-299-1755.  The reserve is extremely low for this truck since its not exactly the high quality truck I usually build.  Clear Title in hand ready to go.

GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.

Supercharged 2015 Chevy Corvette Z06 takes the C7 beyond the ZR1

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

The Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.
After a bright-yellow false start, here is the real thing: the fourth-generation, 2015 Corvette Z06. If Chevrolet makes a ZR1 version of the C7 Corvette, it's going to be absolutely mega, because the Z06 is just about everything we got in the last ZR1, but better.

Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers. You can check out the brief press release below for more information, or head over to the Callaway site to plunk down a deposit - but before you do, we want to know... do you find this C7 wagon interesting?
