1953 Chevrolet Forest Green Pickup Model 3100 on 2040-cars

This pickup has been in my family since 1954. I'm not aware that it has ever had any body damage/repair (all original). I started fixing it a few years ago but decided that I don't have time. Has rebuilt motor with less than 1,000 miles, new chrome, new paint (clear coat on top of cab is pealing from storage and needs repair), much of interior replaced, rebuilt original radio, and original style turn signals. Has seat beats added (wife required them to let kids ride in it). Was running up to 2 years ago when I parked and covered it due to lack of time. Needs new battery and tune up but no reason it isn't ready to go otherwise. Much to my disappointment, wife says it must go (we're moving and I had promised that if I didn't have it completely done by the time we moved, I would sell it). Still needs wood kit for bed of truck. Chrome pieces that are not yet replaced have already been purchased and comes with the truck (e.g. Chevy name plate on front of truck). Also comes with a new (still in box) under dash after market air conditioner ($1,000 new) that hasn't been installed yet. Numerous other bits and pieces and manuals that I had already bought will be shipped with truck. Additionally, a miniature metal replica will also come with the truck. No reserve so that it sells and wife is happy (hopefully it will go to someone that has the time to appreciate the truck).

2013 Chevy COPO Camaro announced with two new engines and manual option
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Chevrolet is following up the 2012 COPO Camaro with another limited run of the drag-strip-ready production car for 2013. Ditching the superchargers, the 2013 COPO Camaro can only be equipped with one of three naturally aspirated V8 engines, and other new features include the option of a manual transmission, new front springs, some minor styling changes and a lower starting price of $86,000. All cars are designed to abide by the rules of the NHRA's Stock Eliminator or Super Stock classifications, depending on in which series buyers wish to enter their Chevrolet Camaro.
Returning for 2013 is the 427-cubic-inch V8 producing 425 horsepower, but the new engines include a 325-hp 350-CID V8 and a 375-hp 396-CID V8. Buyers can select to purchase all three engines, and each will be matched with the sequence number of that car; the track-only COPO cars will not have vehicle identification numbers and can't be registered for street use.
Chevrolet is also offering unique enthusiast-specific options such as a COPO Build Book and the opportunity for owners to help assemble their car's engine at the Chevrolet Performance Build Center in Wixom, MI.
Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes

Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.
GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
