This is a truck we finished a little over a year ago and we used it for advertising.
We replaced any sheet metal that had even a hint of rust,  left and right doors, left and right front fenders,
hood, left and right rear fenders, the entire bed, tailgate, running boards etc are all new, all new door hinges and strikers, new hood hinges etc!

It is painted in a custom BASF Copper pearl with Glasurit Clear, then color sanded and buffed!

We stripped the chassis, sand blasted it and then install a Heidts MustangII style front end with polished stainless upper and lower control arms, power disc brakes, and power rack and pinion!
Out back we installed a 8.8 rear with 3.73 gear, limited slip, Heidts polished stainless coil-overs, and disc brakes.

Engine wise, we started with a 4 bolt main 350 block and performed a full rebuild using forged pistons and the complete Trickflow 420HP package, (aluminum heads, cam, intake, carb) etc, Hooker full length headers, X pipe,  3" exhaust and Flowmasters, new 140 amp alternator, new Be Cool radiator, new electric fan with adjustable thermostat etc..
Mated to the engine is a built 700R4 with a mild stall that shifts perfectly smooth during normal cruising, yet will spin the tires under hard acceleration!

On to the interior where we added power seats, full leather with alligator inserts, extensive use of Dynamat, all new carpet, new kick panels and headliner etc, everything inside is new including all trim, glass, regulators etc!
It has all new wiring from Painless, all new glass, all new chrome, and all new fasteners throughout!
This is essentially a BRAND NEW 1956 Chevy, it needs nothing but a radio!
Ready to cruise the summer in style or travel cross country with the A/C on!
Call or email with any questions, the reserve is much less than the build price!

These cars are headed to the Great Crusher In The Sky

Fri, 24 Aug 2012

It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).
Check out our gallery of discontinued cars above, then scroll down for more information.

2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray order guide hits the web

Mon, 15 Apr 2013

The official debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is only part of the excitement for fans of Chevy's virtuoso sportscar. Although we got to see the car and some of its preliminary specs in Detroit and Geneva, there is still no word on pricing and some of the juicier data points we've been waiting for - such as confirmed power output, EPA estimated mileage figures and performance numbers. Until then, CorvetteBlogger has gotten its hands on the order guide for the coupe version of the car - in both base and Z51 iterations - revealing tidbits like standard and optional features and available color combinations.
Some other new details made it onto the order guide, such as our first interior specs for the coupe including slightly less hip room and headroom, more shoulder room and the same amount of legroom. To see the full order guide, head on over to CorvetteBlogger. From what we can gather, it sounds like more information will be revealed on April 25 during a party at the Corvette Museum, and for those sun worshipers patiently waiting for a convertible, it would appear you've got another model year to wait through.

2014 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra full configurators truck in

Sat, 15 Jun 2013

You can now put prices to your wildest option-sheet dreams of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. A microsite for the full-size pickup truck twins has been up since January, and now the full-blown configurator is live and ready to take your virtual orders. The only two chassis configurations available at the moment are the Crew Cab with either a short or standard bed - Regular and Double Cab versions will come later. In Silverado flavors that will run you $32,710 for the short box, $33,010 for the standard box, while the Sierra adds a $1,500 premium to both of those prices, and destination and handling for both models adds another $995.
Since these are American pickups the list of modifications is lengthy, but we added $11,450 in just two steps by starting with the Silverado Crew Cab and standard bed, then checking four-wheel drive and the LTZ Z71 package. Our final truck, resplendent in Brownstone Metallic paint, heated and cooled Cocoa/Dune perforated leather seating and tasty details like chrome recovery hooks, and engine block heater and LED cargo box lighting, rang up $57,285 at the candy store.
They'll be on dealer lots sometime this summer, so now's a good time to start practicing your box-checking.
