This is a local truck that has been in our small town all of its life. I'm the third owner (an employee of mine bought it from the original) and when I bought it I sent it the same day to the shop to have it completely redone. It was a clean 58,000 mile truck when I got it. It had only a few dings around the top of the bed which they fixed otherwise it was strait and rust free. The interior shown little wear on the vinyl floor mats and the pedals, indicative of the miles. The dash board was and is suncracked and the door panels show sun fading as well. I had planned to replace them and have just never got around to it. I did install a new cloth seat. The exterior was repainted and every piece of trim was replaced. I added the wheel well and body trim that a Silverado would have had. The engine compartment was cleaned only and not repainted. It was just too nice. All the original labels are there as well as the original jack and accessories. I did install a new intake manifold, carburetor and all new A/C components (compressor, lines, dryer, evaporator, etc.) which blows ice cold. The transmisson works well and is an overdrive model. The wheels were repainted and new trim rings and center caps were installed as well as all new tires. I also had them install a spray-in bed liner (the bed floor is nice and strait) The only exterior blemish is a small dent on the top of the bed where a basketball goal fell on it during a wind storm (we no longer own a basket ball goal). This truck needs nothing except the interior pieces I described. The truck is very reliable. Fly in from anywhere and drive it home. Fell free to contact me with any questions you might have or if you need a specific picture of something. TRADE??? I'm always looking for vintage Motorcycles ...trade up or down.

Who sold the most heavy-duty pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood. Head over to the site for a closer look at the breakdown.
Survey says $25k barrier is a problem for EVs

The majority of consumers are more or less priced out of the market.
Electric cars are gaining popularity with the general public, but are they still too expensive? According to a survey 1,084 consumers by Navigant Research, a consulting firm located in Boulder, CO, 71 percent want their next car to cost under $25,000, while 41 percent won't go a cent above $20K. Looks like people are even thriftier than we'd originally thought.
Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it
Wed, 06 Nov 2013We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.
