Up for sale is my 2003 Kodiak c5500. The reason for sale is because the truck is being replaced with a larger truck.

2003 C5500

19,500lb gvw

184,917 miles- mileage will increase as I continue to use the truck

Overall it is in good shape It does need some TLC. The drivetrain is excellent, engine runs great, excellent power. doesn't burn oil has some minor oil seepage but its so little its almost not worth mentioning. Transmission is a 5 speed Allison Automatic. upshifts and downshifts through all the gears. Tires are at least 75% tread and the brakes are the same. Front and rear disc brakes. Has a 16ft flatbed that is a steel frame and treated wood deck. It is only 3 months old. The truck is safety inspected in Pennsylvania until end of may.

Now for what the truck needs.

The engine light is on for a Intake air temp sensor. Doesn't affect the driveability of the truck. The windshield is cracked on the passenger side from a stone chip. The drivers front corner had fiberglass hood work done. It isn't a professional job but its not bad looking either. the cab rocker panels are rusting though also. Probably the biggest issue is at above 60mph the tires vibrate some. The rear  tires need to be rotated and that might fix the problem. I only use the truck on local back roads so it rarely sees over 45 mph.

Call my cell 610-741-5405 or message me to look at the truck before bidding. the truck is for sale locally so I might end the auction early.

GM dealers unhappy about pickup prices

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

The backlash is beginning. Following General Motors' price hike of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra last week, dealers across the country are expressing their ire over increasing prices in the face of rebates and discounts on trucks from Ford and Ram.
Speaking to Automotive News, Sam Pilato, the general manager at Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, FL, Silverados are "selling very poorly." W. Carrol Smith, the president of Monument Chevrolet in the heart of truck country, Texas, said, "[GM's] position is that the vehicle stands on its own and it doesn't need a bigger rebate. That's not what the market is telling us."
According to AN, that's the general attitude amongst Chevy and GMC dealers across the country, where the twin pickups are getting butchered in sales by competitors offering up to $9,000 off their sticker prices. Part of the problem for GM is that its trucks are arriving on the market near the end of the current F-150's lifecycle, a fact that Ford has taken advantage of.

Chevrolet Captiva looks mildly refreshed and ready for family duty

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

We showed you Chevrolet's major debut yesterday, the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible, but General Motors is making a big push for Bowtie consideration in Europe, so it's also introducing the updated Captiva crossover here at the Geneva Motor Show.
While still based on the same platform as North America's fleet-only Captiva Sport (which is effectively a rebadged Saturn Vue), the Captiva is available in both five- and seven-seat iterations, and it looks far more modern. That's particularly the case with this updated model, which features revamped front- and rear ends that include restyled bumpers, grilles and LED taillamps, among other changes.
As before, the midsize Theta-platform CUV will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive, and is expected to carry a range of four- and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Important US programming note: Chevrolet sources tell us that America's Captiva Sport will not receive these updates.

GM recalling nearly 4,000 vehicles over airbag concerns

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

Four different General Motors vehicles from the 2012 model year are being recalled over a potential airbag issue. The driver's side airbag shorting bar in the 2012 Buick Verano and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic might make contact with the airbag terminals, even during a crash. If so, the airbag won't deploy when it should, possibly increasing injury to the driver.
The recall is expected to begin on February 13 for the 3,896 units that might be affected. GM will notify owners who can then take their vehicles to dealers to have the airbag coil replaced. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below has more info.
