UP for sale is one 1955 Chevy Pickup Big window originally from Australia
Don't know if it's the right time to sell now but I give it a try, if it sells let it be so if not I just keep it another couple years.....
Here is the Story about the car.
I bought it maybe 10 years ago at Hot August night in Reno Nevada from a guy from AU name Juice who had built it and shipped it over and spend a month vacation driving it around in CA while trying to sell it to fund his vacation and his next project, went to Pomona and Pleasenton car show and Hot August night. At the time it had a blown 671 compressor and a Harley Davidson motorcycle on the bed which was also blown and had the same paint schema with blue flames and skulls over the bike. The Blower was removed and the bike was sold and I bought the car as you see it here. I been driving it and had fun with it all this time but I think it's time to part from it due to having to many cars and toys. It sits on a GM chassis from a Holden car which is same as our Camaro here in the states, so all the part are inter changeable. The body has been dropped over the chassis and you got individual suspension in the front with power breaks and power steering and disk breaks and leafs in the rear everything is painted light grey. It also has air bags to make it sit real low. It's back with blue/red flames and pinstriped. the interior has a Cadillac steering column and wheel and blue bucket sets and the flames schema goes through the carpet and door panels and the roof.  I have the car insured for 37500 which I think the car is worth in the ball park and what it would cost you to build one but I am selling it for much less. It's a nice driver and it get lots of attention for it's looks and flames and most of all right hand drive. Just need a new home and owner.

Chevrolet donates 300 vehicles damaged by Sandy to help train first responders

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

Super Storm Sandy took out a lot of automobiles in its path of destruction through the Northeast last October. The number surpassed 250,000 at last count, and a few of those were owned by Chevrolet - cars either sitting on dealership lots or waiting at port to be shipped off. Rendered unsellable by the water damage inflicted by Sandy, these vehicles were facing the crusher. But Chevy didn't send them there.
Instead, Chevy had a better idea: It will be donating 300 of these vehicles damaged by Sandy to help train first responders at Guardian Centers in Perry, GA. Chevy is the official automotive partner of Guardian Centers, which is an 830-acre facility that trains first responders in disaster preparedness. Junked cars are practically a consumable commodity there, where a full-size cityscape simulator gives trainees an entire urban center in which to train for all sorts of rescue operations and disaster scenarios.
Chevy says its particular vehicles will be used "in conjunction with role players for wide area searches, traffic congestion in emergency situations, counter terrorism, public order and mass casualty exercises." While grim scenarios all, we're certainly glad there are people out there preparing for the unexpected. While a zombie apocalypse isn't officially on the list of potential disasters to prepare for, when the virus hits, we'll be hot-footing it to Perry, GA to hang with these guys and gals.

Subprime financing on the rise in new car sales, leasing too

Fri, 07 Dec 2012

We all remember the financial crisis that began several years back. At its core was a splurge of subprime lending for housing loans. The housing bubble burst, triggering a collapse of the mortgage-backed securities market. Apparently, those types of loans still exist in the automotive industry, and the market share for these types of "nonprime, subprime, and deep subprime," loans has grown 13.6 percent compared to the third quarter a year ago.
According to an Automotive News report, high-risk lending expanded to 24.8 percent of total loans in Q3, up from 21.9 percent for this time last year. As this level increased, average credit scores of borrowers dropped to 755, down from 763 a year ago. In that time, the average financing amount increased $90 per vehicle, to $25,963.
At 818, Volvo maintains the highest per-owner credit score, while Mitsubishi has the lowest, at 694. The highest rate of borrowers was at Toyota, with 14 percent of the market, followed by Ford with 13.1 percent and Chevrolet at 11.1.

Corvette Stingray designer lists five goals of new exterior shape

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

Redesigning an icon is a difficult task, especially when you've got a blank sheet of paper in front of you and the all-new C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is intended to be your final objective.
General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
