1985 Chevrolet S10 Pick Up With V8 Conversion on 2040-cars

Up for auction is a 1985 S10 shortbox pickup with a 350 SBC and turbo 350 AT. The engine is a 1977 350 2 bolt main with aluminum intake and Holley carb. The th350 transmission has a B & M shift improver kit and ratchet shifter. It has an aluminum radiator with 2 electric fans, Hedman headers and dual exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers. The rear axel is out of a 2002 S10, it is an 8.5 10 bolt with factory 30 spline axel shafts, Auburn posi and 3.08 gears. The interior is stock with seats and console from an S10 Blazer and aftermarket oil pressure and water temp gauges. The truck has a steel cowl induction hood and custom roll pan with Corvette tail lights.
The paint is in great condition with a few paint chips and a crack in the custom tail gate. The truck runs great with no overheating and the only thing that doesn't work is the high beam switch that is on the turn signal lever. |

Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards
Fri, 22 Feb 2013The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

Fri, 24 Aug 2012It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).
