Up for auction is my 1996 S10 LS. Let me begin by saying that the truck has no engine or transmission. The truck has been changed over to a small block setup. The truck comes with almost new shorty headers radiator cross member and the V8 swap mounts. If you wanted to put a 4.3 back in it would be no problem. It has the exhaust still on the truck. It is as it come from the factory. It has not been butchered up as most are. The truck has a 3:42 gear which I found to be a great all around gear for the V8. As you can see by the pictures it is an extremely solid truck inside and out. The only issue as for the body is the pictured cab corners, The rust holes are small and the surrounding areas are solid, Size of a quarter, easy fix. The interior is good other than the pictured wear spot on the seat, That's all. The paint is still in good shape and shines for the year. Before removing engine and transmission (about a month ago) the truck drove and handled very well and was free of squeaks and rattles. All gauges work as does climate control and radio. Doors shut smoothly and correctly. A factory GM bed liner is installed. All glass is good. tires are ok for around town but are getting old and age cracked. Small block Chevy power steering pump and bracket still attached. Put your small block engine and transmission in and have a nice clean sleeper. I'm sure I am forgetting things but if you have any questions please ask. If you need certain pictures please let me know. Thanks QUESTION/ANSWERS Yes, I have a clear open Tennessee Title in hand. I Live one mile off Interstate 26 Exit 27 in Johnson City TN. Yes Ebay requires 30% difference between starting bid and Buy It Now. I can do a little better than Buy It Now Price but not beginning bid price. Thanks The date on the pictures are incorrect due to me not setting the date. The picture were taken the day the truck was listed. Thanks

Was the C7 Corvette cut from Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show?

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Someone was bound to receive a free 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray during the Super Bowl XLVII festivities; it just wasn't who we thought it was going to be. Despite a report back in December that superstar Beyoncé Knowles would be getting an all-new Corvette during her halftime performance, that turned out not to be the case. Joe Flacco, starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, did in fact win a Corvette for his MVP performance.
So what transpired that prevented Beyoncé from rolling on stage in the new Chevrolet? Anyone who knows isn't telling, but according to Yahoo! Autos, General Motors said that for one reason or another a deal "did not work out," and it appears to have been an eleventh-hour change. Regardless of who's to blame or what prevented this from happening, we're sure Chevy has had no problems getting attention for the C7 Corvette since it was introduced last month.

The 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan is for drivers who value performance above all else

Sat, 16 Feb 2013

The car you see above is the 2014 Chevrolet SS, and it's important both because it is the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from Chevy in 17 years, and because it will be the nameplate the brand uses on NASCAR tracks all across the country starting this year.
Though it wears a name as American as baseball and apple pie, the machine was actually designed and built in Australia, sharing most of its parts with the brand-new VF-model Holden Commodore. That said, the basic chassis bits are shared with other Chevrolet models like the Camaro and Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle.
While Chevrolet is happy to sell a Malibu or Impala to anyone looking for a mainstream family sedan, but the SS is reserved for buyers interested first and foremost in performance. Most sedans sold these days are front-wheel drive, which is great for everyday driving and when the weather goes bad, but the SS is instead a rear-wheel-drive vehicle aimed at enthusiasts who love to drive and who prefer speed and performance above all else.

Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards

Fri, 22 Feb 2013

The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.
