Selling a real nice clean chevy s 10 for my father he can no longer drive.
He is the second owner of the truck when he bought it, it had just over 60,000 in 1997. It has been very well taken care of when it needed anything it got fixed then and regular tune ups.
Everything works and it has everything that it came with as far as i know. You can drive this anywhere i wouldnt be scared street/ highway. It has a seat cover to keep the seat nice when put on there was no rips or tears, it has a rubber floor mat no carpet.
Cloth headliner is coming loose from cardboard in places but isint ripped. 500 miles ago it had a new slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder. 1,200 miles ago it had a new clutch, preasure plate and throw out bearing, and front brake pads replaced.
Last year it had new rocker panels and cab corners replaced it started showing some rust in those places. At that time  he had it repainted factory color. It has always had this camper shell and bed/ tailgate liner oringnal owner had them put on so bed is in very nice shape.
Side windows were tinted drivers side some tint is peeling off. There is a mar over pass side wheel well something came close to the truck. I say mar because it isint really a scratch i think it could very easyly  be buffed out. Rear tires are brand new there a snow type tire
or all weather. Front tires have about 80 to 90 % tread. The truck has sat for a couple months i drove it for a week the only thing i seen was it needed a new egr valve. The shifter is tight gos right into gears no slop, there isint any rattles, bangs etc. The steering is tight
it dont shimmy or dart from lane to lane street or highway. All gauges work and lights. Ask any or all questions you may have. This would be a great first truck for a kid, or a great daily driver/ work truck parts runner. Cheap on gas, and taxes etc.
Also if a person wanted to build a v8 s 10 this truck would be great paint and body work is already done super clean your way ahead with this truck.
Title is clear ready to go.  I expect payment within 3 days of auction end or at pick up within seven days inless you contact me and we work something out befor auction ends

Next Corvette ZR1 to get 700 horsepower?

Tue, 19 Feb 2013

Word has it General Motors may offer as much as 700 horsepower in the C7 Corvette ZR1. Motor Trend reports the next Corvette Z06 will continue to rely on its naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8 engine for thrust, but the lump will deliver substantially more power. How much more? MT says the engine could deliver up to 600 ponies. That's a jump of 95 horsepower over the current Z06, though no figures have been finalized as of yet. Right now, GM is reportedly waiting to see what sort of grunt it can glean from the next ZR1.
The automaker has already made it clear it will resurrect the LT5 name for the new supercharged V8, and if GM is already pulling 600 from the Z06, the big dog ZR1 would theoretically offer 700 horsepower. Either way, the range-topping Corvette will be suitably insulated from its less potent siblings. Stay tuned. We aren't likely to see the Z06 for at least a year, with the ZR1 trailing along at some point there after.

2014 Chevrolet Cruze TD fires up its new diesel motor

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

Ever since General Motors confirmed plans to produce a diesel-powered Cruze back in 2011, we've been eagerly awaiting its arrival. And as part of the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, Chevrolet has pulled back the cover on its oil-burning compact sedan, set to go on sale in the near future with a starting price of $25,695, not including $810 for destination.
The heart and soul of the Cruze TD (that's its official name) is a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel inline four-cylinder engine rated at 148 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, mated solely to a six-speed automatic transmission. The engine also has an overboost function that will increase torque to 280 lb-ft for up to ten seconds. The full brace of official specs haven't been released, but GM tells us that highway fuel economy will come in at 42 miles per gallon. If that number sounds familiar, it's because the Volkswagen Jetta TDI has the exact same rating. Unlike the Jetta, however, the Cruze TD can run on B20 biodiesel, where as the Volkswagen can only accept B5.
Model-specific changes to this 2014 Cruze TD include an aero kit and unique 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, there's a full leather interior, and Chevrolet will provide two years of complimentary scheduled maintenance, not to mention a 100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
