Here's your chance to own a limited addition Chevy SSR.... This one is a 2004, with only 12,000 miles...yes ONLY 12,000 MILES! It's the rare Plum color, with Black leather interior, heated seats, and premium sound system. In case you don't know this is a hard top convertible....so whatcha get is a sports car/pickup truck/roadster. Its fun to drive, handles great, and hauls butt! Mechanically it is in great shape with ONLY 12,000 miles...YES ONLY 12,000 miles!It does have a few scuffs and scrapes in the paint (see pics) due to the original owners slight miscalculations (age). There is no "damage" just scuffs....I tried to shoot pictures of the scuffs and scrapes to give you an idea of condition. It still looks good, and most of all it runs and drives great! Leave it as is.....repaint it original.....or two tone it, they look great that way. Clean title in my name, and current California reg....I can deliver on a trailer (no additional miles added!) in California, the California/Oregon border, or Reno NV area for an additional charge. 2013 Chevy COPO Camaro announced with two new engines and manual option
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Chevrolet is following up the 2012 COPO Camaro with another limited run of the drag-strip-ready production car for 2013. Ditching the superchargers, the 2013 COPO Camaro can only be equipped with one of three naturally aspirated V8 engines, and other new features include the option of a manual transmission, new front springs, some minor styling changes and a lower starting price of $86,000. All cars are designed to abide by the rules of the NHRA's Stock Eliminator or Super Stock classifications, depending on in which series buyers wish to enter their Chevrolet Camaro.
Returning for 2013 is the 427-cubic-inch V8 producing 425 horsepower, but the new engines include a 325-hp 350-CID V8 and a 375-hp 396-CID V8. Buyers can select to purchase all three engines, and each will be matched with the sequence number of that car; the track-only COPO cars will not have vehicle identification numbers and can't be registered for street use.
Chevrolet is also offering unique enthusiast-specific options such as a COPO Build Book and the opportunity for owners to help assemble their car's engine at the Chevrolet Performance Build Center in Wixom, MI.
Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you
Thu, 21 Feb 2013As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.
Chevy exec confirms SS production model reveal at Daytona on Feb 16
Wed, 06 Feb 2013The 2014 Chevrolet SS will make its racing debut for the 2013 Daytona 500, but the production version of the car will get its official unveiling on February 16 in Daytona, a week before The Great American Race. According to a report by Automotive News, the reveal has been confirmed by Jim Campbell, Chevy's US vice president of performance and motorsports. With the departure of the Dodge Charger, the new Chevrolet racecar will be the only competitor to feature a V8, rear-wheel-drive layout in both street and NASCAR form.
NASCAR fans will be able to see the new fullsize performance-oriented sedan on display in the festivities leading up to the Daytona 500, but the car won't go on sale until later in the year. The Australian-built Chevy SS will be a low-volume performance model, and it will be priced above the 2014 Impala, which starts at $27,535.
