HERE IS A 1997 CHEVY SILVERADO EXT CAB 3 RD DOOR, WITH A VORTEC 350 MOTOR WITH MAGNA SUPERCHARGER WITH HEADMAN CERMAC COATED HEDMAN HEADERS AND NEW MAGNA FLOW DUEL EXAUST, I JUST HAD THE TRUCK INSPECTED TWO WEEKS AGO, I PUT AROUND 50 MILES ON IT AND IT RUNS AND SHIFTS GOOD THE MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION WAS REBUILT 40,000 MILES AGO WHEN MAGNA SUPERCHARGER WAS ADDED, I PUT NEW WIRES AND SPARK PLUGS ON IT YESTERDAY, I THINK THERE IS SOME WATER IN GAS TANK IT IS MISSING A LITTLE, THERE IS NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS ON IT, THE INTIOUR NEEDS TO BE SHAMPOO AND THERE A COUPLE TRIM PIECES MISSING AND ONE AIRCONDITION VENT, I HAVE A GOOD HOOD TO GO WITH IT IF SOMEONE WANTS IT WITH SALE OF THE TRUCK,IF SOMEBODY DONT WANT THE STEPSIDE BED I WILL KNOCK OFF A LITTLE ON PRICE I AM SELLING THE TRUCK CHEAP THE SUPERCHARGER ALONE IS $5000 ALONE NOT COUNTING THE REBUILD ON MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION. First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph
Tue, 01 Oct 2013Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
GM recalling 250,000 SUVs over door electronics
Mon, 20 Aug 2012After a door-fire investigation that dates back to February, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced a recall today that affects around 250,000 General Motors SUVs for a faulty driver's door module. The recall applies to the Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X from the 2006 and 2007 model years, as well as the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL for vehicles sold and/or registered in the Snow Belt.
Road salt use in these midwestern and northern states can lead to corrosion of the driver's door module on these GMT360 and GMT370 vehicles, which allows water to come in contact with the circuit board. If shorted out, the vehicle's power door locks and power windows will not work, and could possibly lead to overheating and, in some circumstances, a fire. No official word on how many total vehicles caught on fire, but back in June, 28 fires had been reported to the government agency. A fix for the problem is still being worked out, but all affected vehicle owners will be notified by GM.
