2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500HD LT Crew cab 4x4. Truck is in very good condition with extremely low miles. (Less then 42,000 miles, Will go up as it is my daily driver) Interior is in great shape with Charcoal leather seats with no rips, tears, or stains. The seats are heated with 2 memory setting options and easy exit control. This truck is loaded LT edition with all power options. Has a great sounding 6 Disc CD changer with BOSE speaks. The exterior of the truck is also in excellent condition with only a couple minor dings and a small dent near the rear bumper. The rockers and cab corners are perfect with no rust. As well as the bed sides and wheel wells. The only rust on the body is the lower part of the tailgate is starting to bubble under the paint. The bed of the truck is sprayed with LINEX and has a roll up snap on tonneau cover over it. Truck runs great with a 6.0L V8 motor with 305HP. Engine and transmission both run and shift perfect. 4WD works as it should. truck is basically a 2500 with the larger engine and 8 lug wheels. Has slightly less payload then its 3/4 ton counterpart. Also being a 1500HD it has the "auto" 4WD button that i belive did not come on the 2500 series. Truck is in over good shape with only minor signs of wear and use. Please if you have any questions or need further information or pictures feel free to email me and I will respond as fast as I can. There is still a loan on the truck so payoff must be made before the title can be released. Thanks for looking and good luck.

GM won't pay owners of recalled cars for lost value

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

Kenneth Feinberg, the man in charge of the General Motors compensation fund dealing with the its widespread ignition switch woes, has issued an informal, two-letter response to the plaintiffs in more than 70 lawsuits seeking redress for lost resale value of their Cobalts: "No." The cases were recently combined into one, but Feinberg told The Detroit News that the fund will deal "only with death and physical injury claims," and that "perceived diminished value" will get no consideration.
ALG, the firm specializing in establishing residual values, determined that Cobalt owners had lost $300 compared to the segment competition and doesn't envision any long-term effects from the recall situation. Feinberg's statement comes in advance of public details on how the compensation fund will work and adheres to GM's long-held position on the matter. The company has already asked a judge to throw out such suits using the pre-bankruptcy defense, even as it stopped using that defense in cases of injury and death.
With plenty of potential gain from the GM suit, however, don't expect the plaintiffs to give up yet. When Toyota was sued for the same reason during the unintended acceleration debacle, it eventually settled the case for between $1 billion and $1.4 billion just to get it over with. Since the 85 law firms involved in the Toyota litigation took home more than $250 million of that total, we shouldn't expect the attorneys to give up on a GM payout, either.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray priced from $51,995*

Fri, 26 Apr 2013

After months of speculation, Chevrolet has finally revealed the official starting price of the 2014 Corvette Stingray. The base MSRP for the 450-horsepower Stingray Coupe will be $51,995, while the Stingray Convertible will go for $56,995 (*both prices include a $995 destination fee). This means that the price increase from 2013 to 2014 is just $1,400 for the coupe and $2,395 for the convertible - pretty modest increases considering the upgrade in specifications. Of course, neither price accounts for the sort of dealer markup that might grace early C7 window stickers, especially since less than a third of all Chevrolet dealers will be allocated Corvette models to sell at the car's launch.
Now, these prices are for the base car, so if you're wondering how much a fully loaded Stingray will run, Chevy has given us a good indication of that as well. The coupe we saw on display at the Detroit Auto Show (shown above), for example, would run $73,360 including options such as the $2,800 Z51 Performance Package, $2,495 competition sport seats and the $1,795 Magnetic Ride Control option - just to name a few. Stepping up to the 3LT trim level that brings a full leather interior will run an extra $8,005 over the base price.
While $20,000 in options may seem like a lot, this "as-tested" price still has the C7 competitively priced against rival coupes like the Porsche 911 and Nissan GT-R. Speaking of price comparisons, Chevrolet also points out that the C7 Stingray Z51 costs $2,200 less than the C6 Grand Sport while delivering better acceleration (0-60 mph in less than four seconds) and improved track performance (including more than 1 g in cornering).

2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.
