1993 4X4 SILVERADO 2500 EXTRA CAB, 8 ft BOX, AUTOMATIC. THIS TRUCK SPENT IT'S LIFE IN TEXAS UP UNTIL LAST YEAR, SO THERE IS HARDLY ANY RUST ON IT. I'M TOLD IT HAS THE BEST TRIM PACKAGE THAT WAS AVAILABLE AT THE TIME WITH POWER WINDOWS AND LOCKS WHICH BOTH WORK, AS WELL AS FULL GAUGES, WHICH ALL WORK EXCEPT FOR THE TEMP. THE ODOMETER READS 210776, BUT I WAS TOLD THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL HAD BEEN REPLACED AND THAT THE ACTUAL MILEAGE IS MORE LIKE 179000. EITHER WAY IT RUNS GREATS, AND HAS THE 454 ENGINE IN IT WHICH TENDS TO RUN FOREVER. IT HAS A BEDLINER AND CLOTH SEATS, AND A CENTER CONSOLE.
THERE ARE SOME DINGS AND DENTS AND THE TAILGATE WAS REPLACED AT SOME POINT, AND THE DRIVERS MIRROR HAS A CRACK IN IT. THE RADIO WAS REMOVED AT SOME POINT AND THE DASH IS CRACKED BUT HAS A CUSTOM MATCHING COVER ON IT. THE INTERIOR IS QUITE GOOD FOR IT'S AGE, THERE ARE A FEW SMALL TEARS AND NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. THE TIRES ARE IN EXCELLENT SHAPE WITH ALMOST FULL TREAD LIFE AND ARE A SEMI AGGRESSIVE TREAD PATTERN, GOOD FOR HIGHWAY AS WELL AS OFF ROAD. IT HAS A NEW TRAILER PLUG AND THE TRAILER WIRING WORKS. THE BRAKES ARE IN VERY GOOD SHAPE, AND IT RECENTLY PASSED NYS INSPECTION.

C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey
Mon, 25 Feb 2013If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.
Indian tuner turns Chevy Optra into Mustang 'Eleanor' replica
Fri, 03 Aug 2012If you are a big fan of automotive oddities, this may come as a little treat. If you are a Shelby or Mustang diehard, prepare to have your sensibilities violated.
The master fabricators at BigDaddyCustoms are the minds behind what you see above. At first, it appears to be a slightly misshapen custom Mustang, modeled after "Eleanor" from Gone In 60 Seconds, but upon further examination, something appears to be amiss. In fact, the custom shop, based in India, has created an Eleanor replica grafted upon a lowly Chevrolet Optra. While it may take a second for the Optra to ring a bell, you should recognize its badge-engineered sibling, the Daewoo Lacetti, used on Top Gear.
We don't know what star would opt for the Reasonably Priced Car in Shelby's clothing, but it's clearly someone more concerned with the aesthetic than the performance credentials of this automotive mash-up.
