Up for auction is a 2003 chevy LS crew cab duramax 4x4. This truck was involved in a accident at around 35 mph hit the side of a Honda crv. The truck has 134,501 for miles. The factory injectors have already been replaced with an upgraded aftermarket set. The front bumper and brackets have been removed for inspection, the trans cooler and trans cooler line was damaged in the accident they have been replaced with GM parts so the truck can lot drive. Truck has frame damage as noted by pictures. The drivers side has the worse of the damage I do not know whether the rail will need to be replaced or not. As far as parts to be replaced, I can see but NOT GUARANTEE hood, fenders, inner fenderwells, headlights, headlight mount panels, marker lights, fog lights, grille, emblem, bumper with brackets, upper and lower valance, condenser, radiator, fan shroud, clutch fan assembly, passenger and driver airbags, windshield, left mirror, core support is bent on passenger side but very should be very useable, driver side door should be saveable, tires need replaced. Minus the damage shown the rest of the truck is exceptionally clean expect normal chips and a few dings as of with the age and the miles of the truck. The truck has absolutely no rust, rockers and cab corners are perfect except for some rock chips. Also as pictures show rear bumper has two dents. The interior of the truck has not been cleaned but should clean up exceptionally well.  All in all this should make someone a very very nice good mileage crew cab duramax for a great price!!!! I reserve the right to end the auction early at anytime and trades and offers are always considered!

Final C6 Corvette built in Bowling Green

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

With all of the attention given to the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray lately, you could be forgiven for thinking that it's already well along in production, yet tooling up for the new C7 has only just begun. In fact, production of the outgoing C6 generation in Bowling Green, Kentucky just halted on Thursday.
As the C6 has aged, production numbers have predictably ebbed along with demand, but this year, the addition of the 427 and 60th anniversary models resulted in an uptick in vehicles built - this, despite a model year shortened by around 25 percent to accomodate the new model changeover. The final C6 Corvette ever, No. 13,466 built this year, was a white 427 Convertible destined for the General Motors Heritage Center museum. The car's 7.0-liter V8 heart was assembled by Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter himself.
In total, Bowling Green pushed out 215,100 C6 Corvettes over nine years. If you're still a C6 fan at heart and are hoping to get a good deal on a phase-out model, step lively - Chevrolet reportedly had about 6,100 unsold units, which Autoweek suggests is good for around five and a half months of supply at the model's current sales rates. Given that demand will likely slacken even further as the C7 draws closer, that should be a big enough stockpile to keep dealers satisfied until 2014 Stingrays begin showing up on their forecourts in December.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.

Race Recap: 2013 Twelve Hours of Sebring, cakewalk up front, grindfest out back [w/spoilers]

Tue, 19 Mar 2013

This year's 12 Hours of Sebring wasn't exactly a foregone conclusion because we're still talking about racing, and anything can happen when the speeds are as high as the adrenaline and the desire. But we're still talking about Audi bringing it's two top-spec racers - and its huge budget and its nearly neurotic attention to detail - to a race that it uses as a test bed for The 24 Hours of Le Mans and as a way to open the endurance racing season with a victory.
Besides, 12 hours is a long time, especially at Sebring, and things didn't go all Audi's way. On top of that, although it was a pretty quiet race, behind the Audis things got even grimier, with plenty of battles, plenty of mechanical issues, and the new BMW Z4 GTE and Viper GTS-R being race tested. Oh, and that brand new chromed-out DeltaWing...
