I bought this truck new on March 31, 2005 and took possession on April 1, 2005. I believe it is the LE model. I know it was the one with the most options at the time. It came with heated seats, heated mirrors. rear and front temperature control. Passenger and driver temperature controls are independent of each other. You can program the seats with each key, two different or same settings. I think you can even program the radio and mirrors with the keys to acommadate different drivers. I have never tried so I can't swear to it. It came with just about everything but XM radio. Currently the truck runs and drives great. It has cosmetic deficiencies. There are several scratches, small dents, a couple or more not so small dents. Like the tail gate is dented on the top. The right rear has a couple of larger dents. It still looks good from a distance and not too awfully bad at close range. The interior is good with the exception of the driver side seat. The side has cracks. I believe this section is not leather. Back seats are great. Carpet is pretty good. All windows are good and functioning. I had a new windshield installed last week. I also had the front brake pads, calipers and rotors replaced with new ones this week. I had the speedometer cluster sent off for a complete rebuild. I got it back today and installed it. The engine light came on the day that I had the windshield replaced. I took it to the shop. They said it showed an oxygen sensor was faulty. They took it out and said it had a piece of debris on the end of it, cleaned it and replaced it. The engine and transmission and four wheel drive have always been great. No problems. I have had to replace both front wheel bearings in the past. I have replaced both batteries within the last year or two. They are from WalMart, the best ones that were available. I drove it about three weeks ago and had the air conditioning on. It worked great. I have never had any problem with it. The driver mirror is broken but still functional. The driver seat heater does not work most of the time. Other than that I can't think of a thing that needs to be done. The tires are showing wear. They are Big O tires and have their warranty. Free rotating and balancing for the life of the tire. I have used this truck for a work truck. When I needed to go anywhere, I got in, started it and took off for wherever. It has never failed to start even when one of the batteries was getting weak. I would not hesitate to drive this truck cross country and back. It has been probably the best truck I have ever had. I am getting too old to do the work that I have done for decades and bought a new much smaller truck. I have eight or nine licensed, insured vehicles and I am trying to thin them down a little. Way too expensive. The truck has always gotten about eighteen miles to the gallon except when I was hauling a big Lincoln Mark III and trailer back from Nebraska. The mileage dropped off considerably then. The truck is sold as-is. No guarantees. It does not have a lot of miles on it as far as diesels are concerned and should last a long, long time with proper maintenance, which I have always done. A five hundred dollar non refundable deposit is required immediately after the auction end. You can use PayPal for this if you like. The remainder is to be paid in cash on pick up of the truck. No checks or money orders. Cash only. Thank you very much. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will try and answer them for you.

On May-27-13 at 08:57:28 PDT, seller added the following information:

I have a duplicate title. Free and clear. A couple of weeks or so ago I sold this truck to a good friend of mine and filled out the title with his information. Due to financial reasons he changed his mind and I had to apply for a duplicate title. There are no liens or loans on the truck. It is just a duplicate title. Thanks.

New Bright creating exclusive 1:8 scale radio-controlled C7 Corvette

Mon, 04 Feb 2013

If you want a new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette but can't quite save up enough pennies for the monthly payment, we have good news for you. Toymaker New Bright has pulled the covers off of its 1:8 scale remote-controlled version of the American sports car. Complete with a very detailed interior and LED headlights, this large-scale R/C is as close as most of us will ever come to having one of the menacing Chevrolet models to call our very own. New Bright still hasn't released pricing or availability, but word has it the coupe should hit the market soon.
Right now, it appears as if the C7 will hit shelves in Torch Red, though we don't know if other colors are planned as well. The good news is that New Bright isn't exactly turning its back on the old C6 - representatives say the company will continue to make its popular C6R racecar for those who prefer round taillights.

Chevy monitors drivers' biometrics while experiencing new Corvette Stingray

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

We tell you about what a car is like to drive every day, remarking on throttle response, steering weight and feedback, squat, dive, brake fade and a dozen or more other factors of performance. What we can't tell you, though, is what the car does to us - how its performance impacts us, physically. That's what makes this video series from Chevrolet so darn cool.
The Bow-Tie brand rented out Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, got several (very) different individuals together, strapped a bunch of sensors to their bodies to record biometric data ranging from heart rate to respiration to brain activity, and then handed them keys to the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The results are explained in a series of videos, devoted to each driver, showing how different people react to the Corvette's performance.
If, like your author, you're a nerd for medical science, this is going to be a fascinating set of videos. If not, it's still pretty cool to see how the body of someone with racing experience, like Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi, reacts to tracking a car like the Corvette Stingray compared to the owner of legendary Detroit barbecue joint, Slows BBQ. Take a look below for all six videos from the series, or hop over to the Corvette Vimeo channel for the interactive experience, where you can see all the different metrics.

GM recalling 118K Colorado, Canyon pickups over missing hood latches

Thu, 20 Dec 2012

General Motors has announced a recall of 118,800 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickup trucks due to the possibility of secondary hood latches not being installed at the time of manufacture. The affected vehicles are from the 2010, 2011 and 2012 model years, all of which were built between November 9, 2009 and August 28, 2012.
According to the official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report, these trucks fail to "comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 113, 'Hood Latch System.' The hood may be missing the secondary hood latch." In other words, owners of these trucks could find their vehicles' hoods opening unexpectedly while driving.
The official recall campaign is expected to begin on January 17, 2013. Dealers will inspect the affected pickups and if a secondary hood latch is not present, one will be installed free of charge. Scroll down to read the official NHTSA report.
