!966 Chevy Suburban Carryall Carry All Rat Rod Street Rod, Hot Rod, Gasser, on 2040-cars

Fenton, Missouri, United States

This is a super cool old Chevrolet suburban carryall. I have had several of these over the years, but this one is the most solid one I have ever had or seen. No rust ever in the spots these normally rust in. Still has original wood floor in the back. This one actually came from the factory with air conditioning. Most parts are still there except the compressor, hoses, and brackets. It is an older restoration, but the paint is still in super shape. Very glossy and smooth. No chips anywhere that I have noticed. The glass is all good but all of the side glass needs new weather stripping. The rear hatch is missing one of the sliders that holds in up. The chrome bumpers are just driver quality. Tires are newer Coker wide whites. Engine is a later model stock 350 V-8 with a 2 barrel carb. Very peppy, but not a high performance engine. Trans is the super cool and desirable 4 - speed truck manual with the granny first gear. Perfect for making a tow vehicle out of. Rear end is the factory heavy duty 12 Bolt truck. Factory original drum brakes are all new. It stops great. The whole driveline is solid and runs out great. No issues at all other than the choke is fixed in the open position. The interior is very nice also. The whole inside was repainted the factory tan color. Top to bottom, front to back. The original seats were recovered with a very nice material. It is super hard to find one of these with the original seats, which is a big plus. It has newer carpet also. Lights and wipers work. That pretty much covers the good, so now for the bad. All fairly minor items, but I don't want any misunderstandings. The only dash gauge that works for sure is the oil pressure gauge. The heater controls need new cables or hooked back up? The emergency brake does not work. ( parts all seem to be there ? ) Horn does not work. No glove box cardboard.

All in all, this is a very nice example of one of these rare and desirable trucks. I would have no trouble in saying you could fly in and drive this one home, other than it is an old vehicle, and unforeseen things can happen.

NO TRADES

NO TRADES

NO TRADES

Now for the business end. I encourage you, or someone you trust or hire, to come by and check out the vehicle in person. I will refund your deposit if the vehicle does not match the above description. The vehicle does not leave here until all funds clear my bank. Bank and cashiers checks can take up to 10 business days. My bank will give me a letter stating the date when the check will clear. I will forward a copy of the letter to you. Bank transfers can take up to 2 days depending on what time of the day it is initiated on your end. Again, my bank will let me know when it clears. Cash is great if picking it up in person.

Call me at 314-732-592five to get honest answers to all of your questions BEFORE YOU BID. Thanks, Dave

I do not respond to text messages

One more time, NO TRADES, Please do not ask. If you do not know, understand, and accept what "no trades" means, then you surely do not have a vehicle that I would be interested in.

I do not respond to low ball offers, text messages, or take offers over the phone. If you want to make an offer, please do so through ebay email. Include your name and contact info. If I feel you are a serious buyer, I will contact you back. If you do not hear back from me, then my vehicle must be out of your price range. Once my vehicle hits it's reserve price, I will not end the auction.

I do not give out my reserve price. Too many knuckleheads out there that like to play games with bidding just under the reserve amount with no intention of actually buying the vehicle. Makes it look like schill bidding is going on.

If you have a feed back rating less that 100% or less than 10 feedbacks, you might want to check with me before bidding. I will sometimes block or cancel bids if I get a bad feeling for the bidder. Non-paying winners are a real problem for sellers and it is hard to get seller fees refunded from Ebay in a timely manner, if at all.

For you new members, please don't bid unless you know and accept how ebay works and understand that you are legally committing to purchase if you bid. Not following through with a purchase after winning an auction for a new member can result in ebay canceling your membership.

Thanks to all, good luck with your bidding, and have a great day, Dave  314-732-592five

This is your 2014 Chevrolet SS

Sat, 16 Feb 2013

Think you've waited long enough for this? If so, then you'll want to savor the high-res photos we've so far been given of the 2014 Chevrolet SS, the first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan from The Bowtie in 17 years.
We all know its our version of the brand new VF-model Holden Commodore, but what's under the hood that earns the appellation "performance?" A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine producing 415 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. That's 35 hp and lb-ft less than the same engine is expected to produce in the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. Chevrolet says the sedan will get from 0-to-60 miles per hour "in about five seconds."
Shifting comes courtesy of a six-speed automatic with paddles on the steering wheel, while stopping arrive via four-piston Brembo calipers up front, a single sliding piston in back. The forged aluminum wheels are 19-inchers all around, each set supporting right around 50 percent of the sedan's weight, and the aluminum hood and trunk are meant to keep the center of gravity low.

2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray order guide hits the web

Mon, 15 Apr 2013

The official debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is only part of the excitement for fans of Chevy's virtuoso sportscar. Although we got to see the car and some of its preliminary specs in Detroit and Geneva, there is still no word on pricing and some of the juicier data points we've been waiting for - such as confirmed power output, EPA estimated mileage figures and performance numbers. Until then, CorvetteBlogger has gotten its hands on the order guide for the coupe version of the car - in both base and Z51 iterations - revealing tidbits like standard and optional features and available color combinations.
Some other new details made it onto the order guide, such as our first interior specs for the coupe including slightly less hip room and headroom, more shoulder room and the same amount of legroom. To see the full order guide, head on over to CorvetteBlogger. From what we can gather, it sounds like more information will be revealed on April 25 during a party at the Corvette Museum, and for those sun worshipers patiently waiting for a convertible, it would appear you've got another model year to wait through.

2013 Chevy COPO Camaro announced with two new engines and manual option

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

Chevrolet is following up the 2012 COPO Camaro with another limited run of the drag-strip-ready production car for 2013. Ditching the superchargers, the 2013 COPO Camaro can only be equipped with one of three naturally aspirated V8 engines, and other new features include the option of a manual transmission, new front springs, some minor styling changes and a lower starting price of $86,000. All cars are designed to abide by the rules of the NHRA's Stock Eliminator or Super Stock classifications, depending on in which series buyers wish to enter their Chevrolet Camaro.
Returning for 2013 is the 427-cubic-inch V8 producing 425 horsepower, but the new engines include a 325-hp 350-CID V8 and a 375-hp 396-CID V8. Buyers can select to purchase all three engines, and each will be matched with the sequence number of that car; the track-only COPO cars will not have vehicle identification numbers and can't be registered for street use.
Chevrolet is also offering unique enthusiast-specific options such as a COPO Build Book and the opportunity for owners to help assemble their car's engine at the Chevrolet Performance Build Center in Wixom, MI.
