1986 Chevrolet Suburban C10 Suv 5.7l V8 Ohv Silverado Rwd * Rebuilt Engine * on 2040-cars
Finksburg, Maryland, United States
1986 Chevrolet
Model: C10 Suburban Trim Level: Silverado 2WD Engine: 5.7L V8 OHV (Overhead Valve) Body Style: 4DR SUV Has just under 146,000 miles The Engine was just completely rebuilt earlier in 2013, an $1800 investment Clean Maryland Title The good: The Suburban starts right up and runs great since the engine rebuild; the A/C is cold and the Heat works great, I'm surprised how well the heat works in the cold weather. All doors open and close properly; Seats are in good condition, not all torn up, you can see them in the photos. Please note the SUV is pretty clean except for the stain in the very back, I just haven't had a chance to vacuum it out. The bad: There are some rust issues with the SUV; I tried to photograph the major rust spots under the doors, I don't want to hide anything. The rust is only cosmetic and does not affect driving, the floors are solid. Also, there is no third row seat, there just wasn't one when I bought it. Please look at all photos carefully, and ask me any questions you have before bidding. My cell number is 443-831-5171 or you can send me a message on eBay. |

GM recalling 118K Colorado, Canyon pickups over missing hood latches
Thu, 20 Dec 2012General Motors has announced a recall of 118,800 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon pickup trucks due to the possibility of secondary hood latches not being installed at the time of manufacture. The affected vehicles are from the 2010, 2011 and 2012 model years, all of which were built between November 9, 2009 and August 28, 2012.
According to the official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report, these trucks fail to "comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 113, 'Hood Latch System.' The hood may be missing the secondary hood latch." In other words, owners of these trucks could find their vehicles' hoods opening unexpectedly while driving.
The official recall campaign is expected to begin on January 17, 2013. Dealers will inspect the affected pickups and if a secondary hood latch is not present, one will be installed free of charge. Scroll down to read the official NHTSA report.
Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia
Sun, 03 Feb 2013It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.
Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?
Thu, 21 Feb 2013When are stripes more than just stripes? Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight? This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport.
The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model. However, when Chevy recently launched its "colorizer" website for the Stingray, there was no provision made for racing stripes - solid colors only.
Grand Sport exhibit number two is actually an incriminating lack of badges. The production Corvettes we've seen to date have all carried Stingray badges on their fenders, just behind the vent. The car seen in these images has no such badges, which is an intriguing omission on an car that looks like a production-spec vehicle otherwise.
