Copperhill, Tennessee, United States

I am listing this 4x4 off road vehicle for a friend of mine. He has a great 4x4 off road project vehicle up for auction at a really low reserve. This 90 Chevy Suburban has had a lot of money put into it. It has a good running 350ci V-8 engine and a recently rebuilt automatic transmission. The body has some dents and dings but I didn't see any rust out areas anywhere. The Suburban will need a paint job if your wanting to fix it up or you can use it as it is, depends on what your purpose is for the vehicle. The interior is pretty good with good seat covers, door panels, and center console but the headliner is gone. The Suburban came equipted with power windows, locks, tilt wheel, rear air, and electric tailgate window, some things work and some things don't { please keep in mind it is a 24 yr old project vehicle }. The Suburban has been lifted using lift blocks on the springs and a body lift kit. The frame work looks really good with no rust out anywhere and the steering { has a new power steering pump and lines } and suspension parts look good { Rancho rs 5000 shocks, tie rods, center link, drag link, ball joints, u-joints, things like that }. The tires are Super Swampers 38x15.50rx16 LT that looks good and the wheels are by Weld brand I think. The brakes work but are low to the floor getting to a stop and I wonder if it needs to be changed to a hydro-boast system? The front and rear differentials are heavy duty and looks in good shape. Anyway as I stated earlier there has been alot of money spent on this Suburban and can use some more fixing up { it is a 4x4 off road project vehicle }. Please look at all the pictures and ask questions and I'll get back to you. All items are sold as is, where is. Cash payment in hand, in person is expected within 7 days of auction close. Cash payment and pick up of vehicle is expected within 7 days of auction close. Buyer is responsible for all pickup and or shipping arrangements. Please look at my feedback and bid with confidence, good look and happy bidding, thanks.

Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.

Chevy confirms Corvette Stingray Convertible for Geneva

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

Want proof that General Motors has increased global ambitions for its 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray? It's staging the world premiere of the model's convertible variant at the Geneva Motor Show early next month.
As previously rumored, the droptop rendered above will debut at the Swiss show, making its first appearance anywhere on March 5. According to Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet, the location makes sense because Corvette "...is an icon that has long been recognized and admired even in countries where it's never officially been offered."
While neither Chevrolet nor the Corvette has a major sales presence in Switzerland, the Bowtie's European headquarters is located in Zurich (about three hours to the northeast of Geneva) and GM has made it clear that it wants to build the Chevrolet brand up across Europe.

GM applies for LT5, LTX trademarks... are new small block variants coming?

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Recently discovered General Motors trademark applications for LT4, LT5, LT88 and LTX have observers wondering what kind of high-performance offerings could be on their way. A new LT4 would mark a return of the engine designation first used on the Corvette Grand Sport, SLP Pontiac Firehawk and SLP Chevrolet Camaro SS from 1996 and 1997. Supposition at Corvette Forum - which provided advance intel on the C7 like these leaked images - believes a new LT4 could go into the high-performance trim of the next-gen, 2015 Camaro that would be more powerful than the 580-horsepower Camaro ZL1.
Seeing an LT5 again would also be déjà vu - in its former life it was a 5.7-liter V8 for the C4 Corvette ZR-1 from 1990-1994 designed by Lotus, producing from 370 hp to 405 hp. A mix of rumor and hope is that the new LT5 will be a supercharged evolution of the 6.2-liter LT1 (pictured) placed in the new C7 Corvette, and that it will go into the C7 version of the ZR1 pumping out something like 700 hp.
The LTX trademark is, as with that last letter, a complete mystery. If the "X" isn't a generic way to denote the whole LT family, it's wondered if it LTX could refer to a crate motor offering like the LSX.
