For auction is a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban K2500 with a big block 454 7.4L. This is a 4x4 with the LT package and 4:10 rear gear. It is fully loaded as you can see. I have owned this vehicle for the past 7 years (approx). I needed the suburban when the kids were younger but now I am going to switch to a pickup. I treated this truck as good as my classic car. It is always garaged and I only use it when I went camping or needed the extra space. I have a company car so it has seen few miles the past 7 years. Here is a list of items I recently replaced new on the truck: Alternator, belts, plug wires, plugs front and rear bumper, headlights (new sylvanias) new headlight and corner marker lenses, hella spot lights. I also replaced the fuel tank, all fuel lines and all brake lines under the chassis.

In addition I had the dealer replace the entire air conditioning system including (front and back) all brand new a few years ago. I also repainted the rims, newer trim rings and much more. The interior is in good shape has some wear due to age but no tears or rips in the leather.

This winter I also wirebrushed the frame and undercarriage and sprayed it along with the wheel wells etc... It has a hitch with a self adjusting trailer brake setup and 7 pin and 6 pin connectors along with back up lights etc...

The are only 2 issues: first there is one abs sensor that is bad, but I keep it unplugged anyway so this is not really an issue and there is a small rust spot on the driver side door lip, not visible from pictures, nothing major.

Runs excellent. Reserve is $4995. Thanks for looking email me with any questions.

I will not ship it period. If you have less than a 10 feedback or less than 100% email me and i will email you back before you bid. I have had issues in the past. If you dont follow this I will cancel your bid. For sale locally so I also reserve the right to end early. Thanks.

Steve McQueen's last movie car, now Pawn Stars-owned, up for auction [w/video]

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

The last car Steve McQueen ever drove in a movie is officially up for auction. The 1951 Chevrolet Styline DeLuxe Convertible you see above is now owned by none other than Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars fame, but once ferried McQueen around the set of his last film, 1980's The Hunter. That flick saw the Bullit star play a bumbling bounty hunter and didn't exactly set the box office on fire. McQueen bought the car after production wrapped, and four years later it sold at his estate sale at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas.
Flash forward to 2003, and the convertible received a full restoration back to near-stock specifications. Hagerty Insurance estimates the car to be worth around $45,000 without the significant providence. Given its ties to one of film's most popular gearheads, the old Chevrolet could fetch up to 10 times that when it goes under the gavel in Ft Luaderdale, Florida on March 22. You can head over to the Auctions America site for more information. You can also check out the trailer for The Hunter below.

2014 Chevy Silverado High Country spied wearing trappings of new luxury trim

Wed, 03 Apr 2013

Spy photographers have spotted the new Chevrolet Silverado High Country and GMC Sierra Denali out on public streets for a little testing. From the looks of things, the Silverado will receive a much-differentiated front fascia along with special badges and those honking 20-inch chrome wheels. Expect to find a more posh interior as well. Likewise, the Sierra Denali will wear a tweaked nose with the familiar Denali bling. The one of the GMC trucks spotted here rolls on 21-inch gunmetal wheels instead of the 20-inch chrome pieces of the High Country.
Word has it both trucks will go on sale after the Texas State Fair this summer. While General Motors hasn't said for certain what we can expect to find under the hood, we'd be surprised to see anything outside of the range of engines found in the standard Silverado and Sierra models. That means buyers should be able to get their hands on the efficient, 23-miles per gallon 5.3-liter V8.
