2004 Chevy Suburban LT 1500 2WD. Miles: 178932 Motor 5.3 V8 with Automatic Transmission. Towing Package, Roof Rack, Leather with heated seats, Onstar, Rear A/C, Running Boards, Cruise, 10 way power seats, power locks and windows, power mirrors, rear wiper, fog lights, Factory Bose sound system with 6 CD player, 3rd Row Seats. Brand new tires from Walmart with about 1000 miles on them. Bad stuff: The mechanical fuel guage does not work but the digital fuel miles does work by pressing the button. We do have the part to fix the guage and there is a repair video on youtube. There is a small ding/dent on the driver door from a parking lot. Otherwise just normal wear for a 2004 car.
We have owned this since 2005, we purchased it from the Champion Chevy Dealership in Tallahassee with about 40,000. It has been well maintained using only synthetic oil. It has made well over a dozen trips to and back home to Florida from Wisconsin, so there are a lot of highway miles. New fuel pump, filter and injector service in 2008 from the dealer. In the last year in has has new both front wheel bearings and ABS sensors, new belt tensioner, and new water pump. It runs great, we just took it to Atlanta with no problems. The NADA value is $9325 and Kelly Blue Book is $6976. We have purchased a new Dodge Journey and so it is time to sell the suburban. Our price is firm at $5750 cash, no checks and no trades. We have a clear Florida title and the car is still registered and licensed and stiil being driven so mileage is about 178932. We are located at 1602 Old Dixie Hwy, Perry FL 32348 Phone is 850-223-1813 The car has no leaks, runs and shifts great. It has never been smoked in and no pets have been in it. It is sold in "as is" condition with no warranty implied or otherwise.
$500 Non-refundable Deposit due within 24 hours, item will be relisted if deposit is not received. Local pick up only, no shipping.

Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows
Wed, 13 Mar 2013While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.
Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?
Thu, 21 Feb 2013When are stripes more than just stripes? Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight? This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport.
The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model. However, when Chevy recently launched its "colorizer" website for the Stingray, there was no provision made for racing stripes - solid colors only.
Grand Sport exhibit number two is actually an incriminating lack of badges. The production Corvettes we've seen to date have all carried Stingray badges on their fenders, just behind the vent. The car seen in these images has no such badges, which is an intriguing omission on an car that looks like a production-spec vehicle otherwise.
Vert-A-Pac train cars kept your Chevy Vega's price in check
Fri, 01 Mar 2013Our apologies to those who've seen this before, but for the rest of the class, how awesome are these pictures of the Vert-A-Pac shipping system General Motors came up with to ship the Chevrolet Vega back in the 1970s? Developed along with Southern Pacific Railroad, GM was able to double the amount of Vega models it could ship by packing them into the unique storage cars vertically.
At the time, rail cars could fit 15 vehicles each, but Chevrolet was able to lower shipping costs by making it possible to ship 30 Vegas per rail car, in turn allowing the price of the Vega to remain as low as possible. Each rail car had 30 doors that would fold down so that a Vega could be strapped on, and then a forklift would come along and lift the door into place. All the cars were positioned nose down, and since they were shipped with all of their required fluids, certain aspects had to be designed specifically for this type of shipping, including an oil baffle in the engine, a special battery and even a repositioned windshield washer reservoir. See for yourself in our image gallery above.
