2008 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid Sport Utility 4-door 6.0l on 2040-cars
Visalia, California, United States
Selling my 2008 Chevy Tahoe Hybrid with "salvage title." I have attached a picture of condition vehicle was in at purchase. I have also attached a copy of invoice for minor frame work that was done. Over the summer we had a couple modules that went out, took it to our local dealer who replaced some modules costing over $2,000. After those replacements the dealer suggested to also replace two more modules, the power invertor control module, approx $1400 and the ECM (electric control module) approx. $300. The vehicle was running great so we decided to not invest more money into it. It recently went out again. Decided to not put more money into it. Just wanting to sell it. Dash is reading "service hybrid system" and "service airbags" Service Hybrid is the same message we got when it went out the first time and we had modules switched out. Car does not start when key is inserted. Shows engine light and dash reads above messages. Has TV and navigation system. Sunroof, seats 8 with back row, power everything. missing 3rd row seat.(didn't come w/it) Missing lens cover on front and back light. (I have attached pictures) My kids broke them and we have not replaced. Please call with any and all questions before bidding 559-786-0134 Buyer responsible for shipping and costs |

2015 Chevrolet Cruze spied on its home turf
Tue, 23 Apr 2013The next Chevrolet Cruze isn't set to go into production for about another year, and we're just now seeing prototypes of the new compact running around here in the States. Not much more has been revealed since we saw the car blasting through the snow in Europe, but we can still clearly see new design elements like the larger grille, slimmer headlamps and redesigned taillamps.
Our spy photographers worked up a composite image of this Cruze prototype alongside the current model, and here, we can clearly see some big visual changes are in store for the new model. The 2015 Cruze's hood slopes downward more dramatically, the windshield is more heavily raked, and the roofline looks more fluid overall. The next-generation Cruze will ride on the new global Delta platform that will also underpin other General Motors vehicles like the Chevrolet Volt and Equinox.
As for what's under the hood, we expect the normal range of gasoline four-cylinder engines (both naturally aspirated and turbocharged), and the compact's new turbodiesel four should carry over, as well. Have a look at the full brace of spy photos in the gallery above.
Callaway debuts its new C7 Stingray at National Corvette Museum
Fri, 02 May 2014Callaway showed off its first tuned version of the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum last week, giving the rampant enthusiasts of America's sports car a look at the roughly 620-horsepower, supercharged rocket.
Unlike the Corvette SC610 we showed you back in January, this Stingray packs a fair bit more oomph. Horsepower is only up ten ponies, but torque has jumped from 556 pound-feet to "at least" 600 pound-feet. Neither horsepower nor torque is official quite yet, although Callaway is expecting to know just what its creation can do once testing and validation is completed later this month.
The 6.2-liter, supercharged V8 now boasts a new, three-element intercooler, which Callaway claims only allowed the inlet air temperature to increase by ten degrees Fahrenheit during dyno runs. Previous designs saw a 35-degree-Fahrenheit jump. The exhaust system has also been fettled with, and now is even less restrictive.
Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme
Mon, 17 Dec 2012They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
