THIS IS A VERY NICE ANNIVERSARY EDITION 2004 FORD MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE 3.9L V6! CLEAN TITLE, IN HAND!!!!
THE CAR HAS BRAND NEW TIRES, AND IS FULLY LOADED WITH A DRIVERS' SIDE POWER SEAT, MACH 460 SPEAKERS (FROM THE FACTORY UPGRADE ON THE ANNIVERSARY EDITIONS), AND AN AFTERMARKET BLUETOOTH (for music or hands-free cell phone operation) PIONEER STEREO CD PLAYER WITH USB, SUBWOOFER ENCLOSURE AND AMP (OR CAN BE REMOVED AND PUT THE FACTORY RADIO BACK IN). REAR SPOILER. HOT HEAT and COLD AC!! MIDNIGHT BLACK LEATHER INTERIOR, TINTED GLASS. THIS VEHICLE RUNS AND DRIVES SMOOTHLY. THE CONVERTIBLE TOP IS ALSO BLACK IN COLOR AND IS IN GOOD SHAPE.

It does have a few dings and scrapes here and there, but nothing too major. Very slight oil leak from the back of the pan (I had it checked out, and I was told it was about $300 to get it fixed), and convertible top motor might either need replacing or just fluid (fluid fix is very inexpensive, and I've priced replacement motors from $100 to $200). It has had a few bumps and bruises, but still looks and runs GREAT!!!. I purchased this car about 3 years ago, so it's been a good one overall.  There are a few rust spots coming up in places, (rear quarter panels behind wheels, and over the windshield), and the driver's seat has a seem separation (where it looks as though it simply just needs to be re sewn), but all issues are minor and inexpensive - around $500 total. I also have this listed locally, and have some interested parties that have seen/drove the car, so the auction could end early if it sells.

First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible headed for Geneva debut

Mon, 28 Jan 2013

While most of the world is still coming down from all the hype surrounding the debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this month, we're already looking to the future. And according to Autoweek, the next chapter in the C7 story will unfold at the Geneva Motor Show in March. That's right, General Motors is reportedly using the Swiss stage as its venue to debut the Corvette Stingray convertible.
If this strikes you as odd, you aren't alone. After all, with a car that's such an American icon, we'd fully expect Chevrolet to unveil it here on our shores in either Chicago or New York. But according to Autoweek, GM is looking to boost export sales of its halo car, and since the C7 was engineered to compete with the world's best and brightest, showing it off in Geneva is somewhat of a smart move. What's more, those with sharp memories will recall that GM used the Geneva expo to debut the sixth-generation C6 Corvette convertible back in March 2004, so there's also a precedent.
Details surrounding the Corvette Stingray convertible are still slim, though we fully expect the 6.2-liter V8 and choice of either six-speed automatic or seven-speed manual transmissions to carry over unchanged. Prototypes spotted on the road showed the car fitted with a cloth convertible roof, as well.

Watch how Corvette Racing's new collision-avoidance radar system works

Fri, 22 Mar 2013

When it comes to technology used in racecars, we generally expect it to trickle down to production cars, not the other way around. Well, Pratt & Miller has developed a new rear-facing radar that operates in a similar fashion to what we're used to in modern blind spot detection systems, only it is also capable of tracking cars as they approach and relaying vital information to the driver via a large display screen.
The innovative radar system debuted at last weekend's 12 Hours of Sebring for Corvette Racing, and this system makes perfect sense for endurance races like this since the cars sometimes have to drive through the night and in poor weather conditions.
The radar can detect cars even with poor visibility, and uses easy-to-distinguish symbols for the driver to identify.
