1994 Chrysler Concorde 1-Owner Family!
This is an original one-owner family '94 Chrysler Concorde in overall great condition.

3.3 L V6 Runs strong! FWD, AC, AT, PS, PDB, PW, PDL, CC, AM/FM Cassette. Good gas mileage. Smoooooth yet responsive ride.129K Miles. Well cared for, complete records including window sticker and all factory brochures and all service. AC blows cold. With exception of water pump I changed in 2010, all mechanical parts are original/ MOPAR.

A rebuilt transmission w
as installed at 123K miles. Top-rated battery under the hood. Headlamps are crystal clear replacements, and hood has newer MOPAR hood struts. Tires are are good with only about 16K on them. Back left tire does have a slow leak. Fullsize original steel wheel for spare-- no donut here!

Compared to other Concordes of this vintage, the car is in remarkable condition-- due to the care my parents gave the car. Teal Blue over Gray/silver exterior, 'quartz' color cloth interior, non-smokers. Original 17" Alloy Lace wheels. LATCH child seat anchors on package shelf added later at the Chrysler dealership.
Car is a completely rust free, solid vehicle. Never any accidents, kept in garage for its first 15 years. Good care has been taken. Mechanically strong. Front brakes need work- probably just new pads.

Purchased new by my parents in Sept. '94, driven by my school teacher mother, then passed on to me in Spring of '09.  Car
is in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina - come down to pick up the car, stay for the historic scenery! Original paint looks good but is beginning to wear thin on the roof. There are tiny hail dings on the roof, trunk and hood that are mostly unnoticeable; only seen in certain light conditions.  There are two or three 5/16" dia. spots where the paint has bubbled up on the hood, and one 3/8" dia. spot where the paint has lifted off of the left front fender. Original cloth interior in fantastic condition with the exception of a light, cleanable stain on the drivers side seating surface. The 'chrome' strip on the rear driver door came unglued. I have the original strip plus correct 3M body tape to reattach. Also there is a scratch that runs down the passenger side rear quarter and part of the door, will need retouching. There is mild wear at the 'corners' of the bumpers-- silver paint is thinner there, and glimpses of base can be seen. The driver's side door cladding came off, but comes with the car.   Radio works intermittently.

The car also comes with lots of records including original dealership items from the day it was purchased.  As a bonus, I'm also including several extra premium parts I acquired in order to upgrade to remote keyless entry, temperature display, premium overhead console, digital AC control, etc. All the keyless entry system parts are there- just missing a keyfob (available on eBay).  Almost forgot, the car also comes with a car cover that fits really well.

This Concorde looks much nicer than other ones I've seen, and is a joy to drive. I would keep it except my folks just gave us another used car, and I can't keep both!
Look up the Carfax- it is totally clean!

If you are coming from out of town, I can possibly arrange to pick you up from the airport.  If you are shipping the car via 3rd party, I'm happy to arrange conveyance to your driver.  Charleston is a port city, so I can even arrange to drop the car at a local shipping agent's for international purchases.

Thanks for looking! - Matt

Watch the mechanical symphony of the Chrysler 200 build process

Wed, 15 Jan 2014

For those of you who can't get enough of the 2015 Chrysler 200, The Pentastar put together a short video following its new sedan down the line at its Sterling Heights Assembly Plant. As with the best new-baby albums, you'll see it take its first bath, be doted on by family members, put on its first pair of shoes and get all dressed up for an introduction to the world.
The only thing missing are its first words. You can follow it down the line in the video below.

Five automakers now being investigated by NHTSA for airbag woes

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

It appears that Toyota's renotification to owners of recalled vehicles from last year is just the tip of the iceberg for what could potentially be a much larger industry-wide recall. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is opening a preliminary evaluation investigation into roughly 1.1 million vehicles from Chrysler, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Toyota and parts supplier Takata regarding faulty airbag inflators in several models.
NHTSA has received six reports - three directly, two from Takata and one from Toyota - of vehicles with ruptured airbag inflators from 2002-2006, which resulted in three injuries. So far, all six incidents have occurred in high humidity areas like Florida and Puerto Rico. According to Toyota's latest recall announcement, the inflators may have an improper propellant that could cause it to rupture in a crash and the bag to deploy abnormally.
This new investigation follows a previous recall from April 2013 of about 3.4 million vehicles worldwide for the airbag inflators from Takata. As Autoblog reported, Toyota jumpstarted the new situation when it found that the original list of serial numbers for the faulty part was incomplete and discovered more cars in need of replacement. Honda and Nissan told us that they were investigating whether further models would need called in again as well. Mazda told Autoblog: "Regarding the current Takata situation, we're working closely with NHTSA and investigating the situation, but nothing else to report at this time." Chrysler Group responded to us with the statement: "Chrysler Group engineers are conducting the appropriate analysis. The Company will cooperate fully with the National Highway Traffic Administration."

Jeep hiring 1,000 part-time workers in Toledo on Wrangler, Cherokee demand

Wed, 12 Mar 2014

The new Jeep Cherokee has been quite a success for Chrysler, but its factory workers are getting tired. The automaker has agreed to hire up to 1,000 part-time, temporary employees at its Toledo Assembly Complex where the CUV and Wrangler are built. It will allow the company to keep Jeep production moving, while giving laborers a break.
According to plant manager Chuck Padden in the Toledo Blade, full-time workers are regularly taking on 60 hours a week, and it's beginning to wear on them. "To get them more time off is important to us, to make sure they're refreshed, and can work safely," said Padden.
Chrysler has already hired 380 temporary, part-time workers for the plant, and 50 have been converted to full-time employees. The company is in the process of interviewing the rest of the new hires now and plans to have all 1,000 in place by the summer. They will work between 10 and 30 hours a week mostly on weekends for $15.78 per hour with limited benefits. The temporary positions will last "as long as demand continues for the Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Cherokee," said Jodi Tinson, Chrysler spokesperson for manufacturing and labor communications, to Autoblog in an email.
