Rice Lake, Wisconsin, United States
Up for sale is a 1960 imperial crown originaly from oregon it probably is best for a parts car unless a title can be obtained / that means i dont have the title but if you can get the title it would be a great project car, the grill is in great shape for its age and it has alot of good qualities the gauges are in good shape has most if not all exterior chrome the front clip is almost perfect just a small start of rust the frame looks to be very solid. it is fairly straight with the most major dent being on the passenger door, the rockers are pretty solid with a few small holes in the rear as pictured the passenger quarter panel is also in need of repair rusted out on the bottom edge also as pictured the interior is rough no interior door panels handles switches etc just what is shown in the pictures and is in need of rear floor repair the front floor is pretty good the pictures dont do it justice there are only small repairable holes in them, the trunk too is very solid it just needs to be cleaned out better the trunk lid bottom edge is rusted out and so is the trunk edge as seen in the pics the doors all open and close pretty good the engine is either a 413 or a 440 not really sure havent looked it over to much it is missing the carburator and im not sure if it is stuck have not tried to turn it since i got it but i would assume it is stuck, it has i believe a pushbutton automatic transmission which is also untestable by me, it has some neat options for its year power steering power windows air conditioning etc i am more than likely forgetting something so feel free to ask any questions THERE IS NO TITLE

Detroit automakers gain market share simultaneously for first time in 20 years
Wed, 01 May 2013While monthly sales figures might be an easy way of tracking the progression of the auto industry and individual automakers, looking at market share might be more indicative of how each company is actually standing up against its competitors. For the Detroit Three automakers, they have collectively lost almost 30 percent of the market over the last 20 years, but now, for the first time since 1993, Ford, General Motors and Chrysler have each posted market share gains at the same time.
According to Automotive News, Ford's share increased the most by 0.7 percent, GM was up 0.5 percent and Chrysler rose marginally by 0.2 percent, giving the Detroit automakers a total market share of 45.6 percent. As for the Japan's Big Three, the article reports that Toyota is up by 0.7 percent, Nissan is down the same amount and Honda has seen "little change."
Marchionne: Midsize pickup still not in the cards; Ram 1500, Jeep Wrangler could use aluminum
Wed, 07 May 2014During the Fiat-Chrysler briefings on Tuesday, Reid Bigland, head of Ram Trucks, outlined the new product plans for his brand, including confirmation that an all-new light-duty Ram 1500 will launch in 2017. From there, discussions spun off in two directions, with the main questions being: will Ram build a midsize pickup? And, following Ford's move to extensively use aluminum in its new 2015 F-150, will Chrysler be using this weight-saving material for the next round of its fullsize truck, as well?
"I think there is room for a Ram 1000," Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne (pictured above) told members of the media, saying this is a conversation the automaker has been having internally for several years now. "We've tried this ... we've actually taken it to clinics," Marchionne stated, adding that the "response has been lukewarm."

Toyota tops Consumer Reports best, worst used car values
Tue, 18 Mar 2014We often mock Toyota for building boring, soulless cars, but a new study by Consumer Reports suggests that regardless of whether that's true, the company has some of the best used cars on the market. In its report on used cars from 2004-2013, the Japanese automaker had 11 vehicles among its brands on the list - more than any other automaker.
CR breaks the list down by cost and vehicle size, and Toyota has at least one entry at every price point and in nearly every segment. To score a recommendation, a vehicle had to perform well in the magazine's initial tests and score above-average reliability results. It also tried to only suggest cars with electronic stability control. Of the 28 recommended vehicles, Honda/Acura had the second most mentions at six, and Ford, Hyundai and Subaru managed two each.
The Detroit brands also made it to the list, but not in a positive way. Consumer Reports compiled a list of 22 vehicles it wouldn't recommend because "they have multiple years of much-worse-than-average overall reliability." General Motors had the most unrecommended models on the list at six, but Chrysler and Ford weren't far behind, with five cars each from their brands not making the grade. The full list of recommendations is available on CR's website.
