1986 Chrysler Town & Country convertible. I'm selling this for my father who lives in Fitzgerald, Ga. This car is somewhat rare as only 4,000 + produced between 83-86, which was the last year this car was available, and less than 1000 were built. He purchased this car from the original owner in January 96 with 19,000 miles on it. He has owned it for 17 yrs now. It now has 70,539 original miles most of which are sunday rides. Mechanically the engine and drive train are in excellent condition and he has maintained the car religiously over the years he also has most of if not all the records and repair receipts. Cosmetically it needs a little help as it is 27 yrs old. It is a great driver and gets a lot of attention wherever he goes. Asking 5000 for this head turner and he really is having a hard time having to sell it. Fiat Chrysler quietly sends Pentastar logo out to pasture
Wed, 05 Nov 2014Logos come and go, and in the case of the famed Chrysler Pentastar, it's on its way back out. The well-known five-sided emblem, which sits prominently atop the massive Chrysler Technical Center complex in Auburn Hills, MI, is officially going to be phased out now that the company has united with Fiat and formed the new Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
As a nearly 50-year-old icon, though, the fate of the Pentastar has been deeply intertwined with Chrysler's history. Hemmings has an excellent recap of that history, from its development in 1962 by a Chrysler ad agency through to its temporary discontinuation during the disastrous marriage between the American company and Daimler-Benz, and then on to its revival during the time the automaker regained its independence.

Chrysler appoints new heads of Alfa Romeo and Ram
Mon, 18 Aug 2014Chrysler has announced to two key appointments to its senior leadership, both of them taking immediate effect. First up is Reid Bigland, who has been named head of the Alfa Romeo brand for North America. Bigland has served until now as head of the Ram Truck brand, a portfolio he now hands over to Robert Hegbloom, who had served until now as its director.
As a result of the appointments, both Bigland and Hegbloom will take up seats on Chrysler's NAFTA Leadership Team, and Bigland will also join the Fiat Chrysler Group Executive Council - the highest decision-making body in the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles empire.
As per Sergio Marchionne's leadership style, Bigland will continue to serve in two major capacities, maintaining his role as president and CEO of Chrysler Canada. Other senior executives who hold multiple key portfolios include Harald Wester (who serves as the group's Chief Technology Officer and also overseas Alfa Romeo, Maserati and Abarth), Olivier Francois (group Chief Marketing Officer and head of the Fiat brand) and Michael Manley (head of the Asia-Pacific region and the Jeep brand).
