VIN: 2A8GM68X08R650058

I purchased this from a seller on Craigslist last month and I loved it. Ran great up untill yesterday when the key broke in half (wife kicked it while in ignition). I used that broken key and turn the engine on which it would and the shutoff saying "Invalid Key or FOB". Towed it to the dealership who made a new key and tested it out but told me it still would not start. Car worked and ran perfectly fine up until yesterday (Possible dead battery ?). I have a 2013 Honda Accord at the moment and am looking to sell this car as-is. Could be a perfect opportunity for someone to fix and resell KBB est $6k to $10k.

Pros:
  • Ran smooth and powerful transmission 253 HP V6 4.0L
  • MP3/CD Player with Satellite Radio setup and AV Outputs for DVD/Gaming
  • Lots of room (seats 8) with fold down seats
  • Anti-lock Brakes, Traction Assist, Cruise Control, Steering Wheel Radio Controls
  • 5 Star Safety Rated
  • Low Mileage 115k
  • Serviced on 11/11/13 Receipts available. Frame straightened and transmission mounts replaced

Cons:

  • Purchased this truck back in November and the previous owner I bought from smoked in it. No cigarette smell but a few tiny holes in seats.
  • Rear bumper has dent from previous owner backing into tree
  • Driver Power Seat knob missing for lower control (cheap plastic part and still works otherwise)
  • Carpet dirty and stained but overall good condition
  • Smooth and powerful ride however when idle may hear small humming sound from right side of engine compartment. Does not impact ride at all
  • Windshield Wipers should be replaced
  • Antenna bud missing

My goal in selling this car is to be as upfront and honest as possible. If you are good with cars or just work on cars as a hobby this may be a great investment. If you want to take this to a dealership and have them make a new key and fix whatever else is causing it not to start this may be a great deal for you. I am available anytime 24.7 with any questions you may have.

* Buyers with zero feedback must message me with their information (name _ location_etc) otherwise their bids will be removed
* Buyer is responsible for pickup/shipping

Thank you

Minivan market not what it used to be, but margins make up for it

Thu, 05 Jun 2014

Residual values for last year's minivans are higher than they were in 2000.
Much like the station wagon was the shuttle of Baby Boomer generation, the minivan has been the primary means of transport for Generations X and Y. Just as the boomers abandoned the Country Squire, though, those kids that were toted around in Grand Caravans and Windstars are adults, and they certainly don't want to be seen in the cars their parents drove.

Tier 1 suppliers call GM the worst OEM to work with

Mon, 12 May 2014

Among automakers with a big US presence, General Motors is the worst to work for, according to a new survey from Tier 1 automotive suppliers, conducted by Planning Perspectives, Inc.
The Detroit-based manufacturer, which has been under fire following the ignition switch recall and its accompanying scandal, finished behind six other automakers with big US manufacturing operations. Suppliers had issues with trust and communications, as well as intellectual property protection. GM was also the least likely to allow suppliers to raise their prices in the face of unexpected increases in material cost, all of which contributed to 55 percent of suppliers saying their relationship with GM was "poor to very poor."
GM's cross-town competitors didn't fare much better. Chrysler finished in fifth place, ahead of GM and behind Dearborn-based Ford, which was passed for third place this year by Nissan. Toyota took the top marks, while Honda captured second place.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles gets officially official this Sunday

Thu, 09 Oct 2014

Want a chunk of the new Fiat Chrysler Automobiles? Shares of the newly joined (technically) Dutch automaker will begin trading on Monday on the New York Stock Exchange. The company itself will become a single entity on Sunday.
According to The Detroit Free Press, the new FCA will be the world's seventh largest company after Fiat shareholders' chance to oppose the merger expired on October 4. To prevent the merger, shareholders would have needed to exchange at least 500 million euros in shares for cash.
On Monday, current shareholders of both Fiat and Chrysler stock will see their shares converted into an equal number of FCA shares, the Freep reports.
