This is a nice and very clean Town & Country that we purchased over a year ago on the New York/Vermont border. (We want to simply our expenses.) The interior has no cracks or tears in the seats. It has 101,565 miles on it. My wife still wants to keep it but we purchased another vehicle and do not need this anymore. It has a mechanically sound engine and trans. Either the rack and pinion or power steering pump is starting to go, still steers ok just stiff at times when backing up. It is fully loaded. The KBB for fair condition is $6,028.00. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles targets mid-October IPO
Thu, 04 Sep 2014The merged Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is targeting October 13 to launch its initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange, CEO Sergio Marchionne told reporters assembled for a meeting in Rimini, Italy.
"The most likely date for the listing in the US is October 13," Marchionne said, according to Reuters.
Marchionne is trusting that the money made in the IPO will be contribute heavily his ambitious, $64-billion five-year growth plan, which will see FCA reboot Alfa Romeo and Maserati and expand Jeep's global presence. Should the IPO fall short, though, Marchionne has confirmed that "all decision [sic] on any capital increase will be taken by the board of FCA at the end of October."
Chrysler extends fuel tank warranties on LX cars, NHTSA ends probe
Tue, 18 Feb 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has ended its investigation of 153,817, 5.7-liter and 6.1-liter Hemi V8-powered 2006 Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Dodge Magnum models after reports of stalling. Chrysler has responded by granting a lifetime warranty on the fuel tanks for these vehicles.
NHTSA received 299 reports of engines stalling while the models were stopped or driving at low speeds, and began an investigation. The government agency found that the control valve shutoff float in the V8s' 19-gallon fuel tank could malfunction if the fuel had too high of an ethanol content. In many cases, the valve would break in the open position, allowing the tank to be overfilled, which would then cause the cars to stall. However, there were no accidents reported, and the vehicles could be restarted immediately.
There will not be a recall on these vehicles because, "the condition represents a low risk to motor vehicle safety and is adequately addressed by Chrysler's extended warranty," NHTSA said to The Detroit News.
