This is my 1974 Chrysler Town & Country station wagon. It was a one owner car, up until I purchased it, this summer. The car went in to our Chrysler dealer , once a year to be inspected and do any upkeep that needed to be done. The owner of this car was very meticulous about the care of this car. It is totally untouched as far as paint and body goes. Never been messed with at all. The original miles are 64,514 to this date. The car is very solid, having only a small amount of rust along some of the bottom panels of the car, which are very easily fixed. The frame and under-body are nice and solid, it appears like it was undercoated when it was new  The entire drive train is also all original. The car runs and drives very nice. The a/c needs a little freon to be perfect, but works. Cruise control works great. It has a 440c.i  4 barrel V-8. that runs great, and a 727 3speed automatic that shifts perfect. The interior is in very nice shape. Please call with any other questions. My cell number is 605-999-9593. You must contact me within 24 hours of the auction ending. Full payment must be received within 3 days of the auction ending, unless arranged otherwise.I will help out in any way that I can with shipping or storage until the car can be picked up. I could arrange delivery, depending on how far. This car is being sold '' as is '', with no warranties.Payment must be made in cash or bank transfer.

These cars are headed to the Great Crusher In The Sky

Fri, 24 Aug 2012

It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).
Check out our gallery of discontinued cars above, then scroll down for more information.

Fiat seeking $10B in financing to buy Chrysler

Thu, 30 May 2013

As Fiat looks to become the full owner of Chrysler, all it has standing in its way is the retiree trust of the United Auto Workers, which currently holds the remaining 41.5 percent of the company as the result of the Pentastar's bankruptcy deal. The Detroit News is reporting that that Fiat is currently talking to numerous banks in an attempt to raise around $10 billion to fund the purchase of Chrysler's remaining stake with enough left over to refinance the debt of both companies. We've known that Fiat has been working to obtain the capital to buy out Chrysler for some time now, but this is the first time we've seen Fiat tip its hand about how much cash it thinks it will need to close the deal.
The first order of business is a legal dispute over the value of the UAW's stake in Chrysler, which the report indicates could cost Fiat around $3.5 billion. The acquisition of remaining shares could happen by this summer, but it sounds like CEO Sergio Marchionne (above) might not be ready for a full merger until next year.

Chrysler to accelerate production of 2013 Ram and V6 engines

Fri, 16 Nov 2012

Chrysler is adding a third shift at its Warren Truck plant to meet demand for the new 2013 Ram pickup. And with tight supplies of its Pentastar V6, the company is also boosting output at its Mack Engine plant.
The expansions will add 1,250 jobs and are part of a $238 million investment by Chrysler in the Detroit area. Warren's third shift will begin work sometime in the spring, a Chrysler rep told Automotive News. Mack's increased Pentastar production a could include both 3.6 and 3.2-liter engines.
The company says it also plans to invest $40 million in its Trenton Engine plant to allow for production of a 3.2-liter V6 as well as the Tigershark inline-four for the upcoming Jeep Liberty replacement.
