This is a very clean 2003 Chrysler Town & Country LXi.  This van is equipped with a Braun side entry powerlift wheelchair access.  It has the power remote sliding side doors and rear hatch.   The lift can be deployed from outside the van as well as with the remote.

This van can be driven and controlled normally and it also has the full auxiliary set of hand controls for the accelerator, braking and even a push button emergency brake.  The drive seat has full power rotation to the rear to allow easy transfer from a wheelchair.  There are also built in tie down tracks in the rear floor for a wheelchair and two sets of retractable tie downs.

The power wheelchair lift and all the handicap access equipment is working properly.  The other power equipment is working properly including the air conditioning.

There has been only two owners since new and this van has been regularly serviced and maintained by VCI Mobile Works.  This van runs and drives beautifully and there aren't any service indicator or warning lights on.  The V6 engine runs very strong and very smoothly.  The transmission shifts perfectly.  The matching set of Michelin tires are showing most of their tread.  The brake pads are all in excellent condition.  The oil & filter and air filter were just changed.  We wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere in the country.

The exterior of this Chrysler looks great.  The blue paint is very glossy and brilliant over the entire body with nothing other than a few stone nicks and a small corrosion spot on the right rear wheel well lip.  There aren't any dents or body damage on this van.

2014 Ram Power Wagon is bigger and badder than ever [w/video]

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

"The 2014 Ram Power Wagon fills a need for those who travel into extreme terrain for rescue or recreation." - Reid Bigland
More, more, more. That's the philosophy behind the latest Ram Power Wagon. The extra-brawny, Ram 2500-based pickup is back for 2014, and naturally, it's even more extreme than its predecessor.

Fiat Chrysler posts $690M Q1 loss

Mon, 12 May 2014

If there is one thing that should be remembered when looking at quarterly and annual earnings, it's that the headline numbers rarely tell the whole story when it comes to an automaker's health. Chrysler's first-quarter earnings are just such an example.
Yes, the Auburn Hills-based manufacturer lost $690 million, which is quite a large sum of money. The reasons for the loss, according to Chrysler, were "Unfavorable infrequent items," which includes a $504 million payment to rid itself of the debts it took on for prepaying the UAW's VEBA healthcare trust. Chrysler was also hit with a $672 million charge to the UAW, which was part of a deal that allowed Fiat to purchase the remaining shares of Chrysler owned by the VEBA.
Ignoring those one-time deals, the first quarter was quite a successful one for Chrysler. It would have made $486 million if you erased the merger costs, which would have been a year-over-year increase of $320 million. Even more promising is the fact that Chrysler snagged the largest increase in market share of any automaker during Q1 at 1.1 percent, bringing its overall share to 12.7 percent of the US market. Chrysler saw a 30-percent improvement in sales of trucks and SUVs, along with an 11-percent increase in year-over-year sales and a 23-percent increase in revenue, to $19 billion.

Ford and Chrysler reducing summer plant shutdowns

Wed, 22 May 2013

Most domestic automaker assembly plants traditionally take a couple of weeks off during the summer. The shutdowns give each plant time for much needed repairs and maintenance, and in some cases, help better align production with demand. Not this year, though, as demand for many models is outstripping what Ford, Chrysler and General Motors plants can produce.
Ford has announced that it will shorten its annual summer shutdown for most North American plants from two weeks to one. The shorter shutdown will increase the carmaker's annual North American production by 40,000 units on top of the 200,000 extra units that it was already planning to produce this year versus last. Automotive News reports that Ford produced 2.8 million vehicles on this continent in 2012, and that output this year has already increased 13 percent through April.
Chrysler, meanwhile, is also operating at full tilt and plans to run some plants through the summer with no shutdown at all. Those not getting a break include Jefferson North where the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango are assembled, Toledo North that will assemble the new Cherokee, and Conner Avenue, home of SRT Viper production. Other assembly plants will be down for a single week, while all of Chrysler's engine and transmission plants except one in Indiana will continue operating with no shutdown this summer.
