If you are in the market for a clean, low mile mini van that is very
affordable then you are going to LOVE my 2006 Chrysler Town & Country with only 55k orginal rust free, accident free
Florida miles! This van was owned by an older couple who recently traded it in at one of our major dealerships here
in Ft. Myers. They did not have kids so there are none of the usual stains, rips or spills like you get with a lot of
kids in the van. It is very clean inside and out and drives tight as new. It has a clean Autocheck report and
received a great score so you know it has a great history and being a true Florida van there is NO rust and even the
underside is still very clean, you won't see that on any northern vehicles. I just had it serviced and it is ready to
go. The exterior looks great with a nice deep Chrysler shine and no dents, scrapes, fade or rust. There is a small
door type ding on the hood, not bad but there and the headlights are nice and clear but have some light age cracks,
nothing that needs attention or effects anything. And on the rear bumper is a small scuff but again, nothing that
needs attention. There is a roof rack should you need it and there is NO hitch so this Town & Country has NOT been
pulling anything, which is nice. The interior again is very clean with no stains, rips or odors and everything looks
near new. The seats look great both front and rear and they are very comfortable and again there is seating for seven
if need be. All the power options work fine including the ice cold air conditioning and cd and cassette stereo. Look
over the pictures, it's a very clean and well cared for low mile van. What a pleasure to drive. The peppy 3.3 V-6 is
a great engine that is very dependable and economical and runs smooth as silk and it should with only 55k miles. The
brakes, transmission and suspension are all smooth with no shakes or rattles just as you would expect for the miles.
I have the factory books and two keys with remotes. Look it over good and I'm sure once you see and take it for a
spin around the block you will love it. I have great feedback so you can be sure that this vehicle will
be just as nice as I am stating.Should you need help with shipping call me, if you decide to fly into Ft.Myers to
pick it up in person I will meet you at our local airport right here in town. I know buying a vehicle you haven't
driven is a little scary so I try to make it easy as well as fun!! As with all my vehicles, this one was put
through a safety check to be sure it is safe and road worthy. This includes an oil change and an inspection of the
brakes, belts, hoses, tires, fluid levels, etc. It's just one more thing I can do to make this a good experience for
you. I encourge you to call with any questions @ 239-872-5281. Thanks!

Dodge isn't going anywhere. Despite some rumor and speculation over the future of the crosshair grille and the cars that wear it, Dodge brand boss, Tim Kuniskis, sat down with TheDetroitBureau.com, explaining that the marque isn't going anywhere. His sentiments echo those of SRT boss Ralph Gilles, who told a group of enthusiasts in July that "Dodge is here to stay!" Dodge's death won't be "a part of a master plan to consolidate brands," Kuniskis told TheDetroitBureau.com. Instead, the brand, which is ultimately under the command of Fiat/Chrysler CEO, Sergio Marchionne, will likely ditch some of its badge-engineered models, like the Dodge Grand Caravan. A more focused Dodge, which was something Gilles has already hinted at, will likely see it exploring areas of the market that haven't been exploited by other Chrysler brands. Kuniskis, not surprisingly, wasn't willing to delve into any detailed product plans, telling TDB that the size of the brand's lineup "remains to be seen." Regardless of how big the brand actually ends up being (it is presently Chrysler's volume brand - and not by a little), hopefully the statements from Kuniskiss can put the rumors of a Dodge closure to bed.

Bob Lutz, the well-known executive with a range of automakers including both General Motors and Chrysler, says he supports Chrysler for not caving under federal pressure to issue a recall on 2.7 million Jeep vehicles. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is arguing that the plastic fuel tanks positioned behind the axles of certain 1993-2004 Grand Cherokee models and 2002-2007 Liberty models may become punctured in a collision and potentially catch fire, so it has called upon Chrysler to recall the vehicles. 15 deaths and 46 injuries have been attributed to the issue. For its part, Chrysler has maintained that its models "met and exceeded" all safety applicable mandates when they were manufactured, and furthermore, they argue that the government agency's own data proves that the vehicles are no more dangerous than similar SUVs produced by other automakers at the time. As a result, it is taking the unusual step of refusing to recall the vehicles. According to The Detroit News, Lutz says Chrysler is right to push back when the government is out of line. Lutz also said that he wished he could have done the same when NHTSA urged Chrysler to issue a recall on certain minivans back when he was with the automaker 25 years ago. Meanwhile, United Auto Workers Vice President General Holiefield also defended Chrysler by saying, "Our legendary Jeeps are crafted with pride by our dedicated UAW American workforce who work tirelessly to ensure the utmost quality of each Jeep that is produced for customers."

Chrysler launched its America's Import campaign with a splashy ad during the Super Bowl starring Bob Dylan and featuring a whole bunch of patriotic imagery that included Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, factory employees and, of course, the city of Detroit. Since then, the brand has followed the original spot with even more ads using the same tagline. Not everyone is pleased, it seems, including The Detroit Free Press auto critic Mark Phelan, who's fed up with the marketing. In an editorial for the newspaper, Phelan claims that it's insulting to the US auto industry and its workers. "The phrase 'America's import,' with its suggestion that 'import' equals 'better,' feels terribly dated, a relic of the 1980s. It's the rhetorical equivalent of hanging a pastel-hued 'Miami Vice' poster on your office wall," writes Phelan in the piece. Also, since some of the brand's cars are made in Canada, the line isn't even entirely true, he claims. Phelan goes on to praise the company's earlier Imported from Detroit commercials for getting the right message across and showing pride in the city. While "America's Import" might be the tagline for Chrysler's ads, it's not the whole message. Subsequent ads keep the hard-working, patriotic imagery from the original Super Bowl spot but put a bigger emphasis on the Chrysler 200 that the commercials are meant to sell.
