2010 Dodge Avenger With 60k Miles Hit In Front And Needs Rebuilt With All Parts on 2040-cars
Greencastle, Indiana, United States
2010 Dodge Avenger with low miles!!!
This is a really nice car but has been hit in the front and damaged. I bought this to repair myself but i no longer have the time for the project so i'm passing it along for someone else. The car has damage that is isolated to the front center of the car as you can see from the pictures. The fenders on both sides are still in place and are still in good shape. The car was running when i began to strip off the damaged parts and it was driven into my garage before my work began. I have a complete front end of another Dodge Avenger that is undamaged which comes along with this purchase so no parts will need to be purchased to complete this repair. I HAVE EVERYTHING NEEDED TO REPAIR THIS VEHICLE and you get both cars when you purchase this package. Silver 2010 Dodge Avenger has only 60,000 miles as seen in picture and comes with a salvage certificate of title when repaired will be converted to a rebuilt title. Interior of car is spotless and looks new in front and back with the exception of the drivers side air bag which i have in the parts vehicle that comes with purchase. Front cross member, hood, core support, fans, headlights, grille, hardware and everything you need are in great shape on the parts vehicle that comes along with this purchase. Feel free to come inspect this car for yourself and you will see that it has tremendous potential. Any questions then feel free to call Brian at 317-223-5050 and i will be happy to help. I do not deliver so you can expect to pick both pieces up in West/Central Indiana. Serious inquiries only please. This will make a great car for someone!!!!!! |

What's the deal with Chrysler demanding colleges crush their Vipers? [w/video]
Fri, 07 Mar 2014Students and teachers at a Washington community college are up in arms following an order from Chrysler that it must destroy the pre-production Dodge Viper that was donated to the school's automotive technology program ten years ago.
The Viper in question is said to be the fourth off the production line, based on its VIN, and has had its emissions controls disabled, allowing its ten-cylinder engine to produce 600 horsepower, according to a report from Yahoo! Autos. As one of the first Vipers ever produced, the school's AT instructors claim it could be worth $250,000 in a museum, while a local news report purports that Jay Leno once tried to purchase the car, but the sale was prevented by Chrysler.
As pointed out by our friends at Autobytel, though, there are a lot of things in this story that don't quite add up. Immediately noticeable from the news report embedded below - which shows the car at South Puget Sound Community College - is that the car in question is not a 1992 model. When the Viper went on sale in 1992, it was only available as an RT/10 with a (flimsy) soft top, like the red car shown above. But the car featured in the report from KING5 News (inset image) is clearly a hardtop Viper GTS, which didn't enter production until 1996. And even if, as reported by a local newspaper, the hardtop featured is a prototype, it doesn't explain the lack of another iconic feature of the first Vipers - their distinctive side pipes. This kind of pokes holes in the school's argument that this is the fourth Viper to ever roll down the line. At best, this appears to be a pre-production Viper GTS.
Watch this Dodge Viper get clawed to death
Tue, 07 Jan 2014There's a scene in the James Bond movie, Casino Royale, where Daniel Craig's Agent 007 is captured by villain Le Chiffre, played by Mads Mikkelsen. Le Chiffre tortures Bond in a scene that is rather difficult to watch (especially for blokes) and impossible to describe on these digital pages (Google at your own risk). This video is the automotive equivalent of the Casino Royale torture scene.
It shows a Dodge Viper - a late, first-generation GTS judging by the center-exit exhausts - getting assaulted by a giant piece of heavy equipment. The large claw shows no mercy on the V10-powered sports car, rending its muscular curves into pieces and then running it over, just for good measure. It's a painful video to watch (and hear!), made worse because we don't know what the Viper did to deserve such a fate. About a third of the way through the video, the cameraman indicates that the man with the claw is a new operator from Chrysler, and it appears there may be some fire damage, but beyond that, we don't have much to go on.
Scroll down for the video but be warned, it isn't for the faint of heart.
Chrysler recalls small number of 2013-2014 cars and trucks over engine debris
Thu, 12 Dec 2013Chrysler is recalling a small number cars over issues with their 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. The recall, which affects 522 examples of its 2013 Dodge Avenger and Chrysler 200 models, as well as 2014 Jeep Compass and Patriot CUVs has to do with potential debris in the balance shaft bearings.
The abrasive stuff can cause the oil pressure to drop, which could lead to the engine stalling or outright failure. This situation could at best leave drivers stranded and at worst lead to a crash.
Chrysler will begin notifying owners, who will need to report in to have the balance shaft module replaced. All repairs are naturally free of charge. Scroll down for the bulletin from NHTSA.
