1970 Dodge Challenger with a 8.3 liter V10 from a Dodge Viper backed by a 6 speed Tremec and a dual disc clutch.
This thing sounds extremely aggressive with the help from Borla ATAK mufflers exiting out the rear of the car.

The front end is an aftermarket subframe that was modified to fit the big 8.3L Viper V10, along with tubular upper
& lower control arms, fully adjustable coilovers, power rack and pinion steering, and 6 piston Wilwood disc brakes.

A custom driveshaft connects the transmission to the fully independent rear suspension.

The rear end of the car is totally custom fabricated. The frame rails that come up along the inner wheel wells were
replaced with a custom-built tubular chassis to accept the rear subframe from a 392 SRT8 Challenger. So now, the
completely independent rear end (suspension, differential, & brakes) from an SRT8 Challenger bolts right into a
1970 Challenger and you have a car that can drive and handle great. It also has coilovers in the rear and the
Brembo disc brakes that came on the SRT. The front and rear subframes are connected by square tubing to stiffen the
body for added stability and strength to help handle the power.

The body looks great in midnight black paint but does have imperfections from age and use, but it hasn't been built
up as a show car. Rear inner wheel openings were trimmed to fit larger tires on 20" wheels. Has a T/A hood and rear
spoiler. The vinyl gator top is original to the car and in good shape. The floors are also in good shape and the
trunk pan is new. Black interior is clean and it has a pistol grip shifter to control the Tremec 6 speed
transmission.

List of items I think need done before it is a ready to enjoy rod:
Install new steering column, wiring harness, dash, and gauges.
Install a brake booster.
Replace clutch master/slave cylinder setup.

2014 Dodge Dart Blacktop glosses over performance

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

The Dodge Dart is a decent little car. It's honest, basic transportation, and many of us at Autoblog are genuinely fond of the Alfa Romeo-based compact sedan. For 2014, not a whole lot changes in the Dart world, save the addition of this new Blacktop edition that makes its debut here at the Detroit Auto Show.
It's all very simple, this Blacktop package, and doesn't actually alter performance in any way. Instead, buyers are treated to blacked-out exterior bits like 18-inch wheels, the crosshair grille and headlamp bezels. Inside, black/tungsten or black/red cloth seats are available, with red contrast stitching throughout the cabin.
Adding the Blacktop pack to your Dart SXT with the Rallye Appearance Group will set you back a scant $295, and while it's just an appearance package, it all looks pretty nice to us.

Dodge gives 2015 Viper slight power increase, new GT model

Tue, 02 Sep 2014

With its troubling sales figures, the newly rechristened SRT Dodge Viper needs to come out swinging for 2015. To do that, Dodge has made a number of tweaks and changes that will hopefully carry the V10-powered sports car into more successful days.
First up for 2015 is a new GT model, which aims to marry the reasonable price of the base car with the adjustable suspension and trick stability control program of the GTS model. The GT also sports a cabin that's covered in Alcantara suede and Nappa leather as standard.
Also new for 2015 is the SRT TA 2.0 Special Edition, which expands on last year's Viper TA by adding new aerodynamic bits and bobs, including a larger rear wing, which ups downforce at 150 miles per hour from 278 pounds to 400 pounds.

2015 Dodge Challenger looks fresh, still plenty retro [w/video]

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

It was the Ford Mustang that kicked off the retro-styled muscle car renaissance back in 2005, but it was the Dodge Challenger that served as the movement's poster child, with its unabashedly retro looks. Over the years, though, as the Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro were freshened and upgraded, the look of the big Dodge has remained largely consistent since its 2008 debut. For 2015, the Challenger has received a big freshening, boasting strongly revised front and rear ends and (finally, finally, finally) a redesigned interior.
Let's talk about that new cabin first. It's basically been plucked directly from the redesigned Charger, and boasts the same seven-inch IP display. The center stack's miserable, last-gen display has been replaced by an expansive, 8.4-inch UConnect system. Material quality should see a solid boost with the new cabin, as well.
The exterior, meanwhile, sees a revised front fascia with LED halo lights, as well as new grille inserts. A functional shaker hood scoop is a must-have extra on the V8 models, while the back of the car is highlighted by a new set of LED taillights that don't use the "Racetrack" design of Dodge's other models.
