 Where do I Begin?

Here is your chance to own a super car for just a few dollars more than a new challenger SRT8.  This car was a special build by Arrington Motors in Virginia.  Take a few moments to look up www.shophemi.com and you will note that they one among a few to be the top Hemi shops in the country.  This car was built with no expenses spared, over $45,000 was spent with Arrington to build this stroked 426 beast. I have the paperwork from Arrington for those who have a serious interest in this car.  The formula was take a new SRT8 and make it into a low 10 second car that was driveable day to day with a/c navigation and 20+ mpg on the highway...

This car was $43,800 from the dealership with every option with the exception of a sunroof.  I have every piece of paperwork from the Dodge dealer with both keys, original window sticker, as well as the invoices from Arrington.

From Arrington:  426 10.3/sc/ported heads 607, 426 high boost piston set 4.085 / 6.1 Cam: Billet roller, RQs Short Block /  Black finish Magnuson SuperCharger 12lb Kit / 2.650 Supercharger pulley / >X dual F/Pump Hat / HP in tank fuel pump 255/ph / Hemi color matched fully functional Shaker Hood Modified for the supercharger / Hood Pins / Motor and Chassis dyno / Damper 17% overdrive / Hemi 900tq Organic Disk ss-Trim twin spec clutch kit Ram/90-2370N clutch / Pistol Grip Shifter old school 391-6020 / Challenger Exhaust - Long Tube Kooks Headers - Kooks Green Cats / Corsa / Borla / Razor / Pedders suspension w/drag meister setup parts and labor / Billet Tech under Hood Challenger black kit /

Additionaly, aftermarket wheels with Nittos on the rear with old school custom designed billboards.  I know you want to know the numbers from the dyno and they are:  716 hp at rear wheel @6,000 rpm with high flow cats and 750 SAE tq at 3500 rpm...

For just a few dollars more than a new SRT8 you can have a car that people will remember instead of pulling into your club or show with a car that is exactly identical to a few others at the show.  Other than the small nick in the hood this car is flawless.

Chrysler recalls 1.2 million Ram pickup trucks

Sat, 09 Nov 2013

Chrysler has announced that it will issue three separate recalls that will cover as many as 1.2 million Ram pickup trucks for "steering-system tie rods that may have been misaligned during assembly or steering-system service." The vast majority of these trucks were sold in the United States, though some trucks in Mexico, Canada or overseas will be called in, as well.
The largest of the three recalls covers an estimated 842,400 model-year 2003-2008 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks. Two smaller campaigns will bring 294,000 model-year 2008-2012 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups, chassis cabs and 2008 Ram 1500 4x4 Mega Cabs; plus 43,500 model-year 2008-2012 Ram 4500 and 5500 4x4 chassis cabs into the dealer to be checked and repaired if necessary.
This is a very large recall, and Chrysler says it is "casting the net wider than necessary to identify those vehicles that require repair." The automaker estimates that "as many as 726,000 may not need repair."

NHTSA investigating power modules on Chrysler Group SUVs and minivans

Mon, 29 Sep 2014

The Center for Auto Safety is officially petitioning the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to begin scrutinizing alleged problems with the totally integrated power module (TIPM) on about 24 Chrysler Group SUVs and minivans. The advocacy group claims that the part's failure can cause affected vehicles to stall or not start at all. NHTSA is still looking into the accusations and deciding whether a full investigation is actually warranted.
The CAS petition claims at least 70 TIPM failures, but according to NHTSA, six of the complaints are for models that don't have the modules. In 34 of the reported cases, the vehicles refused to start, and in 17 of them the engine stalled. There were also two allegations of smoke and one of a fire. However, none of these affected airbag deployment or resulted in a crash.
This petition isn't the first TIPM-related problem for Chrysler Group. A recent report in the New York Times alleged that it found 240 complaints potentially related to the issue on NHTSA's website alone. In September, the automaker also recalled 230,760 examples worldwide (188,723 in the US) of the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango replace the fuel pump relay circuit inside of the TIPM-7 with one external to the unit. The original part could allegedly cause the models to stall without warning. Even earlier, the company also recalled about 80,000 examples of the Jeep Wrangler and Dodge Nitro in 2007 to have the module reprogrammed.

2013 Dodge Durango R/T

Tue, 19 Feb 2013

Not too long ago, Chevrolet got itself into some trouble by throwing the SS badge on just about everything it produced, so I've always been a little hesitant about the seemingly excessive use of the R/T nameplate on Dodge vehicles. For the 2013 model year, every model in Dodge's lineup has an R/T trim level from Dart all the way up to the Durango. Although the R/T name used to signified models made for road and track, I doubt anyone would be delusional enough to assume the Durango - and some of the other models wearing this badge - are suited for any sort of track duty.
Still, when this 2013 Dodge Durango R/T rolled up for me to drive for the week, I couldn't help but take in its big, mean and imposing stance. Sure, if I had my choice of buying any of the Dodge R/T products, the Charger and Challenger would be my top picks for sure, but it's easy to say that the Durango would be a close third - far above the R/T versions of the Avenger, Journey and Grand Caravan.
