1968 Dodge Charger Se * on 2040-cars
Crescent City, Illinois, United States
This 1968
Dodge Charger is up for auction, has been sitting since 1984. This car does not
run and will need complete restoration. The car is nearly 100% complete. It has
all 4 original hubcaps, but is missing the alternator and crankshaft pulleys.
The bucket seats shown are not the correct ones for this car, but I do have the
originals that will go with the car. The engine is a 383 with automatic
transmission, everything appears original. The doors, lower quarter panels,
rear inner fender wells & rear portion of trunk pan are rusty as shows in
pictures. Floor pans seem to be solid. Rust around back window & panel
below rear bumper. This car is located in Central Illinois, and has a clear Illinois
title. $500.00 pay pal deposit required within 24 hours of the auctions end.
Remaining balance due in cash at pick-up. All sales are final. |

Indications of 825 hp and emissions issues for Hellcat called 'speculation' by Chrysler
Tue, 16 Sep 2014The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is probably one of the hottest cars of the moment mostly because of its insane, 707-horsepower supercharged V8. However, there are conflicting reports coming out that the powerplant might be having problems with its emissions compliance and may be capable of even more power.
Jalopnik says that an unnamed source within Fiat Chrysler Automobiles told it that the Hellcat was having problems meeting emissions standards at its 707-horsepower tune. The person claimed that the automaker has been testing the V8 with different types of sensors, possibly to make it a bit cleaner in the future. Autoblog spoke to SRT spokesperson Dan Reid, and he said about the claimed poor emissions, "It's totally speculation."
The source also claimed that the Hellcat had been dynoed at a monumental 825 horsepower, internally. Based on the other rumor, though, it's hard to imagine the engine being emissions compliant like that. Autoblog also asked Reid about this speculation about more power and was told, "They are totally speculating about that."
Chrysler recalling over 280k minivans because airbags may deploy on wrong side
Mon, 08 Jul 2013Chrysler has issued a recall for some 2013 Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan and Ram C/V Tradesman vans built between May 10, 2012 and June 7, 2013. These vehicles may have a software error that would cause the wrong side (opposite side) airbags to deploy in a crash. With this defect, a left-side impact would cause the right-side airbag to deploy, etc.
The recall affects 281,500 vehicles in total: 224k in the US, 49,300 in Canada, 2,900 in Mexico and 5,300 in other locations. Chrysler will notify owners of effected vehicles, and reflash the offending occupant restraint control module to resolve the issue.
