69 Dodge Charger Daytona, in Daytona registry, real deal.  Factory 440, 4 speed, DANA car, in rare Y2 Yellow...only about 22 of the 500 Daytona's made were Y2 color.  Solid car top to bottom, all original equipment except motor...lost to history, and a date coded 69' Charger R/T 440 motor has replaced it.  Same type of motor that would have been installed when new.  Original 4 speed trans and DANA rear still in the car.  The interior is in great condition, no rips or tears, and great color, no fading.  Trunk is solid as well, the trunk has the body Y2 Yellow. The engine bay also has the Y2 in it, and appears very stock, the engine itself is detailed as well.  This is a very original car, besides the motor being lost to history, the rest of the car is still here, with only one repaint of the body surfaces to make it show excellently when out.  The car is dusty in the pics, and you will see cobwebs under the car in the pics as the car has been in storage for quite a while...it does get started every month to keep it lubed up.  The tires are rare yellow letter Eagle 1 tires, very desirable.  The undercarriage is pretty original, not messed with, looks dirty, but is solid !  The hood does fit very well when shut all the way, it was not shut all the way in the pics, because of raising it to take pics of motor.  The car has great fit at the doors, hood and trunk lines.  Very nice, solid, original car.  **Car does have it's two jacks, and spare, they come with the car.

Chrysler Group moves around execs in wake of recent departure

Tue, 16 Apr 2013

Chrysler is busy shuffling executives around in the wake of Ram head Fred Diaz's departure. The automaker has named Reid Bigland (pictured, right) as Diaz's successor in the role of president and CEO of Ram, though Bigland will continue his duties as the head of US sales and the president and CEO of Chrysler Canada. Bigland first came to Chrysler in 2006 from Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation, so the guy knows a thing or two about trucks.
Meanwhile, Timothy Kuniskis will take over as president and CEO of Dodge. Previously, he served as the head of Fiat in North America and has been with Chrysler in one capacity or another since 1992. His old title now falls to Jason Stoicevich, who will also continue to work as the director of the automaker's California Business Center. Finally, Bruno Cattori will take over as the president and CEO of Chrysler Mexico.
Diaz left his position to take over as a divisional vice president of sales and marketing with Nissan. You can read the full press release on the Chrysler personnel changes below for more information.

Dodge gives 2015 Viper slight power increase, new GT model

Tue, 02 Sep 2014

With its troubling sales figures, the newly rechristened SRT Dodge Viper needs to come out swinging for 2015. To do that, Dodge has made a number of tweaks and changes that will hopefully carry the V10-powered sports car into more successful days.
First up for 2015 is a new GT model, which aims to marry the reasonable price of the base car with the adjustable suspension and trick stability control program of the GTS model. The GT also sports a cabin that's covered in Alcantara suede and Nappa leather as standard.
Also new for 2015 is the SRT TA 2.0 Special Edition, which expands on last year's Viper TA by adding new aerodynamic bits and bobs, including a larger rear wing, which ups downforce at 150 miles per hour from 278 pounds to 400 pounds.

2013 Dodge Dart gets brace of new special edition models

Thu, 16 May 2013

After almost a year on the market it, it is becoming more clear to Dodge how customers like to option out their Darts, so the automaker has combined popular features into three special edition packages and sweetened the prices. Start with a standard 2013 Dart and add either the SXT or Limited "Special Editions" or Rallye Appearance Group, and you'll save yourself a lot of box checking.
The $595 Dart SXT Special Edition takes the trim just above the base model and adds a new grille, dark-tinted headlights and projector fog lights, LED racetrack taillights, cruise control and audio controls on the leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Limited Special Edition starts with the top-end model and adds a power sunroof, heated front seats and steering wheel, dual-zone climate control and Nappa leather seats among other features, for $1,810.
The Rallye Appearance Group (pictured) is a package for the SXT, and it blacks out the front fascia, throws on 17-inch wheels and some badging for $395. The new special editions are reaching dealers now and could help the Dart's sales to further improve after a slow start. You can find out more about them in the press release below.
