NEED TO FIND A NEW HOME FOR THIS MOPAR. WE ARE STARTING A TRUCKING BUSINESS AND NEED THE MONEY FOR OPERATING COSTS. WE BOUGHT THIS 2 OWNER CAR AS A RESTORATION PROJECT BUT TIME IS NO LONGER ON OUR SIDE. HATE TO LET HER GO, PROBABLY BE THE LAST TIME WE HAVE AN OPPERTUNITY TO OWN A SHELBY.
NOW FOR THE DETAILS. THIS CAR IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE WITH NO RUST ISSUES. IT WAS PURCHASED NEW BY A CLASSMATE AND THEN SOLD TO ANOTHER, THEREFORE THE NEXT OWNER WILL BE THE THIRD OWNER. THE CAR HAS SAT FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS BUT STARTS AND RUNS GREAT. IT HAS A FEW ISSUES IN ADDITION TO A GOOD CLEANING BUT ALL THE PARTS ARE THERE AND ORIGINAL. THE MOTOR IS THE ORIGINAL 2.2 TURBO AND HAS A LITTLE VALVETRAIN NOISE FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS ON COLD STARTUP. MORE THAN LIKELY DUE TO OIL NEEDS CHANGED. ALSO SHIFTER BUSHING NEEDS REPLACED DUE TO IT POPS OFF RIGHT BY THE TURBO WHEN YOU RUSH A SHIFT. CLUTCH AND TRANSMISSION GOOD AS WELL AS AXLES AND CV JOINTS. TIRES HOLD AIR BUT I WOULD REPLACE THEM DUE TO AGE. WHEELS ARE ORIGINAL AND IN GOOD SHAPE. INTERIOR IS IN FAIR CONDITION CONSIDERING THIS CAR WAS DRIVEN DAILY FOR 30 YEARS. ALL GLASS IS GOOD BUT OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLES ARE BOTH BROKEN. WE ALSO LOST THE DANG KEYS SO ONE WILL HAVE TO BE MADE FOR THE IGNITION. THIS CAN BE DONE PRIOR TO CAR BEING PICKED UP. THE RIGHT FENDER WAS DAMAGED WHEN A DEER GOT TOO CLOSE ONE NIGHT BUT CAN BE FIXED WITHOUT REPLACEMENT.
I AM UNABLE TO TAKE MORE PICS AS MY CAMERA DIED. THIS CAR IS VERY RESTORABLE AND WORTH THE MONEY.
BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PICK UP AND ALL SHIPPING COSTS. WE DO OWN A SHIPPING COMPANY AND WILL DELIVER THIS VEHICLE ANYWHERE IN THE LOWER 48 STATES FOR 1.25 PER MILE IN AN ENCLOSED TRUCK. CAR IS LOCATED NEAR CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI.
SELLER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO END AUCTION AT ANY TIME AS VEHICLE IS ADVERTISED LOCALLY FOR SALE.

Chrysler banks $507 million in Q2, trims 2013 earnings forecast
Tue, 30 Jul 2013Chrysler has some good news and some bad news. First, profits were up 16 percent over the second quarter of 2012, bringing the Auburn Hills, Michigan-based manufacturer $507 million on the back of strong demand for trucks and SUVs (a recurring theme this quarter, particularly in the US). Q2 revenue was up as well, from $16.8 billion in 2012 to $18 billion in 2013. The bad news is that the Pentastar's overall earnings forecast for net income in 2013 has been trimmed from $2.2 billion to between $1.7 and $2.2 billion, according to Automotive News.
In addition to the adjusted net income forecast, Chrysler tweaked its operating profit from $3.8 billion to between $3.3 and $3.8 billion. This has gone largely unexplained by Chrysler, perhaps hoping the news of a three-percent increase in its transaction prices for Q2 will allow it to sweep this adjustment under the rug.
The star of the show for Chrysler has been its US sales, which saw a 10-percent jump, both bettering the industry average of eight percent and improving over the same stretch of 2012. As with the increase in transaction prices, Chrysler has the new Ram pickup and Jeep Grand Cherokee to thank. Perhaps most worrying from this report, though, is that every brand in the automaker's stable saw an increase in sales... except for the Chrysler brand itself.
How fracking is causing Chrysler minivans to sit on Detroit's riverfront
Fri, 25 Apr 2014It's fascinating the way that one change to a complex system can have all sorts of unintended consequences. For instance, there are hundreds of new Chrysler Town and County and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans built in Windsor, Ontario, sitting in lots on the Detroit waterfront because of the energy boom in the Bakken oil field in the northern US and parts of Canada.
The huge amount of crude oil coming from these sites mostly use freight trains for transport, and that supply boom has resulted in a shortage of railcars to carry other goods. According to The Windsor Star, North American crude oil transport by train has gone from 9,500 carloads in 2008 to 434,032 carloads in 2013. Making matters worse, some North American rail infrastructure is still damaged because of this year's harsh winter, and that's slowing things down even further.
Chrysler admits to The Star that it has had some delivery delays due to the freight train shortage. In the meantime, it's using more trucks to deliver its vehicles. Trucking is a far less economical solution, partially because a train can carry so many more units at one time, but alternatives are slim. The Windsor plant alone has a deal for 33 trucks to distribute the minivans around Canada and the Midwestern US.
Subaru Legacy pitted against Roadkill project cars
Fri, 05 Sep 2014There's an evergreen debate among auto enthusiasts about whether they would prefer to have the latest and greatest car of today or a certified classic from yesteryear. What if you had to further define that, though, and the choice was between a brand new 2015 Subaru Legacy or a turbocharged Datsun 240Z with a hatch that wouldn't close? Roadkill aimed to find out that and more in one of its best videos to date.
According to the hosts, Subaru came to them, handed over some money and challenged Roadkill's project cars against its latest Legacy. The result is every bit as good (or better) than any automotive-themed show you could find on television.
Things start simple with a figure-eight race in a rodeo arena with the Subaru taking on Roadkill's 1968 Ford Ranchero, originally built for ice racing. From there the Legacy races a 1968 Dodge Charger with no windows around and off-road rally stage. Finally, the Subie goes head-to-head against the Rotsun, the aforementioned turbocharged 240Z, through an abandoned neighborhood. Plus, there's a bonus drag race challenging them all.
