This is my baby. It is in great shape for the year and has NO MECHANICAL issues at all. Everything works as it should. It does not use oil, smoke, or otherwise knock, ping, or make any "bad noises". The HEMI is still awesome, although I SELDOM run it hard. In fact it has NEVER been run hard, or raced. I am a middle age+ Architect, not a speed freak. The a/c is as cold as it was new in Florida. It does have some dings, the driver's leather has a wear tear, and the cup holder door is broken (stays open). It has had routine maintenance, full synthetic oil ALWAYS, tie rod end replacement and new front rotors within past year. All 4 tires are 75%, and show no irregular wear. The spare has never been on the car and it has never been in any kind of accident. This is a STEELERS fan's dream (like winning a game this year). The only reason I am selling it is because I really want a convertible, and need a smaller car to fit with my Harley in my garage.
The car was purchased by me in Florida (right before the 2005-06 Superbowl), and was intended to be a collector. It didn't quite work out that way and it became a driver. The miles are mostly highway to and from Florida, and vacations. My daily driver is a Harley. The car and I are in Baltimore now (tough on me as a Steeler fan) and it has seen two winters, but almost no snow or salt. It is totally rust free, and with some TLC / detailing could look just about like new outside. There are two dings in the upper door frame from falling Mangos hitting it in Florida. Slightly noticeable, but no paint issues with them. The rear glass and 3 side glass panels are tinted but not the driver's door. It was victim to a smash and grab for my windshield mounted GPS, resulting in minor scratches on top of the driver's door panel. The headlight plastic lenses are starting to fog, and one of the fog lamps is cracked and does not work. I just never used them and never fixed it. I am trying to list all of the minor imperfections, but again this is a GREAT bargain muscle car and I will miss her but only have space for one in my garage with the Harley. This is hands down the best car I have ever owned.
The interior has one flaw in the driver's leather backrest, and the plastic ashtray and cup holder do not work quite right, but left open there is no problem. The back seat was almost never used. The stereo is awesome, with a factory 8" sub and 4 HUGE door speakers. It has a stock 6 disc / CD-mp3 player AND a cassette for old timers with classic tunes. The floor mats are all original and all good, but the driver's is showing wear. Note that I am a cigar smoker, however the car doesn't stink, or smell like an ashtray. If you smoke at all, you would never notice, and if you are looking for a non-smoker car this is probably not the one. This and the flaws above are the reason I am selling it as "good" condition rather than excellent, and at a VERY reasonable reserve (below KBB value).
Now for the good stuff, I replaced the Daytona quarter panel stripes with STEELERS stripes, and have an extra set that were custom cut for me. There are smaller Steelers decals on the front and rear bumpers. I also have a matching matte black hood vinyl decal with the logo cut in it. I never had the guts to pull the original off and put the new one on, but it comes with the car. I will even include the shark fin and fuzzy dice seen in the photographs. I realize the next Owner ought to be a STEELER fan, but OEM stripes can be bought and replaced easy enough if you just happen to like yellow and black.

Dodge not being dropped by Chrysler, CEO reaffirms
Mon, 16 Sep 2013Dodge isn't going anywhere. Despite some rumor and speculation over the future of the crosshair grille and the cars that wear it, Dodge brand boss, Tim Kuniskis, sat down with TheDetroitBureau.com, explaining that the marque isn't going anywhere. His sentiments echo those of SRT boss Ralph Gilles, who told a group of enthusiasts in July that "Dodge is here to stay!"
Dodge's death won't be "a part of a master plan to consolidate brands," Kuniskis told TheDetroitBureau.com. Instead, the brand, which is ultimately under the command of Fiat/Chrysler CEO, Sergio Marchionne, will likely ditch some of its badge-engineered models, like the Dodge Grand Caravan. A more focused Dodge, which was something Gilles has already hinted at, will likely see it exploring areas of the market that haven't been exploited by other Chrysler brands.
Kuniskis, not surprisingly, wasn't willing to delve into any detailed product plans, telling TDB that the size of the brand's lineup "remains to be seen." Regardless of how big the brand actually ends up being (it is presently Chrysler's volume brand - and not by a little), hopefully the statements from Kuniskiss can put the rumors of a Dodge closure to bed.
Subaru Legacy pitted against Roadkill project cars
Fri, 05 Sep 2014There's an evergreen debate among auto enthusiasts about whether they would prefer to have the latest and greatest car of today or a certified classic from yesteryear. What if you had to further define that, though, and the choice was between a brand new 2015 Subaru Legacy or a turbocharged Datsun 240Z with a hatch that wouldn't close? Roadkill aimed to find out that and more in one of its best videos to date.
According to the hosts, Subaru came to them, handed over some money and challenged Roadkill's project cars against its latest Legacy. The result is every bit as good (or better) than any automotive-themed show you could find on television.
Things start simple with a figure-eight race in a rodeo arena with the Subaru taking on Roadkill's 1968 Ford Ranchero, originally built for ice racing. From there the Legacy races a 1968 Dodge Charger with no windows around and off-road rally stage. Finally, the Subie goes head-to-head against the Rotsun, the aforementioned turbocharged 240Z, through an abandoned neighborhood. Plus, there's a bonus drag race challenging them all.
Chrysler readying Hellcat V8 with Viper-like power
Tue, 21 May 2013A monstrous supercharged V8 engine could be in store for Chrysler and SRT products, if recent rumors are to be believed. Allpar is reporting that the forced-induction V8 - Chrysler's first, if this goes down - could make its debut this summer.
The story goes that the Hellcat would be based on a 6.2-liter Hemi engine, rather than on the existing 5.7- or 6.4-liter versions of the company's vaunted mill. In any case, the general consensus is that the motor will have gobs of power. Modest estimates call for between 500 to 570 horsepower, with some outliers predicting a figure as high as 600 hp. That figure would put the output would place the Hellcat awfully close to that of the 640-hp V10 in the SRT Viper, too. Allpar contends that a slightly lower powered version would allow Chrysler to keep costs below that of the more powerful Ford Shelby GT500, which might be a sweet spot.
The Hellcat could debut in a number of SRT products. SRT versions of the Charger, Challenger and 300 are all up for grabs, as is the rumored SRT Barracuda.
