This car is a rust free, I said RUST FREE and solid and straight car. It has surface rust on the front fender tops and a small spot hear the stainless trim on the passenger side roof trim. If you are looking for an easy project to do and have a nice ride, this is the car. I am not into Dodge or Chrysler at all, but have been into muscle cars fro years. I specialize in GTOs. This car is a sweet ride, starts and runs and drives, however it needs and exhaust , a water pump and radiator pin hole fixed. Other than that it will be a smooth tight driver as you would expect a 50 year old 45k mile car would drive. It has new tires that have been on the car few a few years but only has about 10 miles on them. The car has a red interior that has some fading and shoulder separations, but suitable for continued use. With a good tune up and some small cosmetic fixes this car will run forever."

Hello, as mentioned above this car is a 45k original mile car and it shows. The car has ZERO rust in the trunk, floors, fenders or quarters. There is a surface rust developing on the top of the front fenders and a small point at the rear C pillar on the passenger roof near the stainless trim. Nothing thru the metal at all. The paint is original except for some panel repaint back in the 80s. As far as I know the car has NEVER been hit or crunched at all, all apnels are original and straight. The car runs and drives well. It has new brakes, new tires installed several years ago with no miles on either (maybe 10 miles). The car needs a water pump, exhaust system, tune up, a paint job and some detailing to make it a show piece. I am selling it reasonable because I currently have no room to store it as I have all bays full. I am not a Dodge person so I have no interest in detailing for show, drive etc. This will make someone a real nice starter musclecar. There has been several on Ebay that have been done like the 440 Max Wedge wih the wide hood scoop. That is a sharp Mopar if there ever was one. Anyway the car is as is where is, but you will be satisfied with this car because its not rusted, its straight and has low miles. Little investment in this car will make a sweet cruiser. It has the 440 trim package, stainless down the side and roof line. It has the small V8 with a light ratio rear gear, so it gets about 18 to 20 MPG. Car has no leaks and is tight. Starts right up and runs well. Actually it purrs. Now for the fine print- The winner will be responsible for payment with 3 days or payment/balance in full upon pickup of the car. However I require a 500.00 deposit within 48 hours. Car is not registered, so I suggest you bring a trailer. You can drive it on the trailer. Any questions please let me know.
There is NO WARRANTY implied or expressed with the car. It is as is, where is. Dont miss it!!

Has Dodge stepped in it again with Scat Pack lawsuit?

Mon, 20 Oct 2014

Lawsuits are an unfortunate part of doing business in just about any industry, so the latest complaint filed by a California-based aftermarket firm against Chrysler would seem to be nothing more than business as usual. But this isn't the first time the two companies have sparred over this particular issue.
According to a report from Automotive News, the dispute revolves around the Scat Pack name that Chrysler first offered on the Charger, Coronet, Dart and Super Bee starting in 1968. Scat Enterprises, a manufacturer of crankshafts and other components for Dodges and other vehicles, sued Chrysler for using its name. A few years later the Scat Pack disappeared from the Dodge catalog.
Fast forward to August 2013 when Chrysler applied to register the Scat Pack name anew. The US Patent and Trademark Office turned down Chrysler's application, but the automaker proceeded anyway, unveiling new Scat Packs for the Challenger, Charger and Dart at last year's SEMA show.

Dodge offering novel 1-year lease on '14 Challenger and Charger models

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Dodge is just days away from unveiling refreshed versions of the Charger and Challenger at the 2014 New York Auto Show, models promising updated styling and new powertrain options. Depending on how you look at it, the company is either so confident in its forthcoming 2015 models that it's offering an interesting Double-Up lease deal on the current vehicles, or it's so eager to clear out existing stock that it's resorting to novel lease deals. In any case, what they present is an interesting scenario, one which allows buyers to get the existing model right now, and then trade up to the facelifted 2015 models in one year.
Starting April 17, when the refreshed cars debut through the end of August, buyers can lease a 2014 Charger or Challenger for one year and exchange it for a three-year lease on a 2015 model next year, with no additional money down and the same monthly payment. Customers can even switch vehicles when the new lease starts. If drivers want to buy the '15, they get $1,000 off the purchase price. To be eligible, both leases must use the same dealership and be financed through Chrysler Capital. The Double-Up deal excludes the SRT versions of both cars and Charger SE models.
To offset the flood of one-year-old models coming back to dealerships, Dodge has struck a deal with rental car agency Enterprise, which has agreed to buy them all. "One-year leases are highly unusual in the industry," said company spokesperson Ralph Kisiel, and the fleet sale deal is what makes it possible.

Will Dodge limit 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat to 1,200 units?

Sun, 20 Jul 2014

With over 700 horsepower on tap and a price tag barely over $60k, Dodge appears on paper to have a winner on its hands with the new Challenger SRT Hellcat. But if you want to get your hands on one, you may have to act quicker than this most powerful of muscle cars covers the quarter-mile.
That's because, according to our compatriots over at Edmunds, Dodge may limit production - in the first year, at least - to just 1,200 units. That would amount to barely a quarter of the Challengers that Dodge moves each month, and would also mean only one Hellcat for every two Dodge dealers in the US - which could lead to some serious contention over which stores and which customers can get their hands on the ultimate Challenger.
Reached for comment, SRT spokesman Dan Reid told Autoblog that "there is no plan to limit production of the Challenger Hellcat," echoing the words of Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis who told Edmunds: "We don't know what the market demand is." Which doesn't mean that it won't restrict production, but doesn't mean that it will, either. It just hasn't decided yet - or announced any such decision, at any rate - over what will be the final allocation strategy for what could be a game-changing muscle car. That is, at least, until new versions of the Mustang and Camaro come along in pursuit of Dodge's bragging rights...
