Eureka, Montana, United States

1966 Dodge Coronet 500, factory air car. Wide block 318. comes with additional wide block 318, additional builder 440, spare tranny and radiator. Still starts on turn of the key. 4 barrel manifold (rare) 727 small block tranny. 8 3/4 rear end. Rebuilt Holly 4 barrel 600, 97% rust free. A couple dime size rust bubbles in rear quarter.  The car originally came from California and lived with us down in Texas from the time I bought it until moving to Montana. It still has its Texas plates on it. Trunk is solid and trunk mat still looks new. Power windows. My wife owned this car for many years & had originally planned to drop that 440 in it but never got around to it. Raising 8 children tends to take away from tinker time with old cars. It has been a mere garage decoration for the past 11 years except for the occasional weekend drives during the summer. This car was used to tow my 67 Coronet from Houston Texas to Montana! See pics for trailer hitch. Those that know about wide blocks know they are work horses and virtually indestructible.  This one comes with two wide block 318's. It has a nice throaty dual exhaust. We hate to part with it but it really should be out driving not collecting dust in a garage. We live in Montana so its lucky to get 3 months a year of decent roads and weather in which to enjoy it. The odometer reads 67,872 I'm not sure why they have you list it as I would assume it has rolled over at least once, however break and gas pedals have very little wear. Tires and brakes are all in excellent condition and I would trust this car on any road trip. This car runs great, original engine, tranny shifts like it should, dependable, no smoke. I will gladly send any additional pictures requested. The heater core has been replaced. It also comes with new A/C compressor still in the box. Upholstery and headliner need to be redone. They had been replaced by the previous owner at one point and did not stand up well to the test of time. 10% Down Payment due within 72 hours of Auctions End. Final payment due within 7 Days of auctions end. Buyer assumes responsibility for pick up or transport. Sold as is, no warranty. I can be reached at 406-260-1568. Serious bidders only. If you have no feedback please call before bidding.

Chrysler killing off the 200 Convertible, Dodge Avenger

Sun, 23 Feb 2014

When Chrysler rolled out the first-generation 200 to replace the Sebring range in 2010, it included replacements for both the sedan and the convertible. The Sebring Coupe, however, was left out of the mix. And now that the second-generation Chrysler 200 is descending upon us, Auburn Hills is paring things down even further. But this time, it's the convertible that reportedly isn't making the cut. Shame, too, since the rendering above shows what could have been quite an attractive droptop.
As our compatriots at Edmunds point out, sales of the convertible model accounted for less than five percent of overall Chrysler 200 sales, and at those numbers, the considerable cost of engineering a new drop-top couldn't be justified. With the Toyota Camry Solara and Volkswagen Eos also gone from the market (well, the VW isn't gone quite yet), the discontinuation of the Chrysler 200 Convertible leaves the affordable convertible segment largely to the sportier likes of the Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro and smaller European offerings like the Mini Cooper and VW Beetle.
The Chrysler 200 Convertible isn't the only derivative being left behind with the new model: so too is the Dodge Avenger. That will leave a glaring hole in the Dodge lineup, with nothing to bridge the gap between the compact Dart and the larger Charger. Whether the Dodge brand has any plans to replace the Avenger with another model, not to be based on the 200, remains to be seen.

2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit is ready to serve and protect

Fri, 08 Aug 2014

Okay speed freaks, it's time to update your cheat sheet of police headlights, as Dodge has just unveiled the new 2015 Charger sedan's police variant, the Pursuit.
Like previous Charger Pursuits, the 2015 model is based on a modified version of the civilian sedan, featuring the same basic batch of mechanicals and sheetmetal, while adding a number of items specific to the five-oh.
For 2015, cops can select from the same 3.6-ltier V6 and 5.7-liter Hemi V8 available to the civilian population, with former turning out 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque and the latter packing 370 ponies and 390 lb-ft. Even loaded down with equipment, Dodge claims the Hemi-powered cop car can hit 60 miles per hour in under six seconds, while both engines are expected return 26 miles per gallon on the highway (thanks to the V8's four-cylinder mode). Rear-wheel drive is standard with both engines, while V8 Pursuits can be fitted with all-wheel drive.

Chrysler readying 20 Moparized vehicles for SEMA

Tue, 08 Oct 2013

The Las Vegas Convention Center has plenty of space for aftermarket companies and automakers to show off their wares, and it looks like Chrysler is taking advantage of the spacious floor plan. At next month's SEMA Show, Chrysler will have a full 20 cars from its six brands decked out with Mopar gear.
As a hint of what is to come, Chrysler released a handful of teaser sketches showing glimpses of modified Jeep Cherokee, Ram 1500, Fiat 500L and Chrysler 300 concept vehicles. The automaker will also use the venue to show off a new line of Jeep Performance Parts offered by the all-new Mopar Off-Road Division. In addition to the images, Chrysler also issued a brief press release - posted below - breaking down some of the "industry-first features" that Mopar has offered in recent years.
