1998 Dodge Dakota R/t Extended Cab 5.9l on 2040-cars
Sioux Falls, South Dakota, United States
Here's a link to a youtube video of a complete and detailed walkaround of the truck http://youtu.be/cqunVgFxonI Books at $6,050 stock... http://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/1998/Dodge/Dakota-Pickup-1-2-Ton-V6/Club-Cab-R-T-Sport/Values 5.9L Magnum V8 engine Fresh oil change Vehicle has plasti dip matte white wrap. Truck was originally black so the door jambs/sills etc are still black. I wrapped my Dodge Intrepid 2 years ago and it has never been garaged and is hardly washed because it is just my beater car and it still looks great. This material seems impervious to winter/salt/gravel and is rated to withstand temps from -60 to over 300 degrees. I'm actually wrapping my Dodge Ram and SRT-8 Charger (there's a reason my ebay name is MoparMan) in the next few weeks. Goodies:
Purchased in Ohio and I drove it all the
way to SD. I'd take it cross country right now if need be. Has about 1.5 inches of 'play' in the steering. Spedometer doesnt work between 0-50, but works from 50mph+ From what i've read, its a very common problem with the Dakotas. |

Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme
Mon, 17 Dec 2012They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
We cruised Woodward in the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat [w/video]
Tue, 19 Aug 2014
We were definitely rock stars at the 20th edition of the Dream Cruise.
The yell came from somewhere in the crowd: "Hey Hellcat, push it!" We obliged with a jab of the throttle, and the 707 horses of the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat roared to life. It went on like this. All weekend. It's one thing to attend the Woodward Dream Cruise, it's quite another to star in it.
Chop the top of your new Dodge Viper for $35,000
Mon, 21 Jul 2014We have good news, and we have bad news. First, the good: It's now possible to get a brand-new Dodge Viper roadster, which is nice, considering we're in the dead of summer and many of us like wind-in-the-hair motoring. Now, the bad: This is not a factory option from the automaker, instead coming courtesy of an aftermarket company called Prefix Performance, and that means it's going to cost you some serious coin.
Called Medusa, this drop-top Viper was created without the knowledge or consent of Dodge, but that's probably fine because Prefix works with the automaker already for the final preparation of the American supercar, including paint. According to the company, the current, fifth-gen Viper was built with a convertible version in mind, so no chassis strengthening is required. From the looks of the somewhat grainy photos available, the conversion appears of very high quality.
Want one? Well, that means you're going to need to procure a Viper - Prefix has 10 units ready for transformation as it stands - and that's going to cost at the very least $102,485. Then, you'll need to write a check for an additional $35,000 for Prefix to surgically remove the car's roof. Thing is, for that kind of cash, a prospective owner could buy, among other very nice options, a Viper hardtop and a loaded Miata, or a Corvette Stingray convertible and several pockets full of change. Or, perhaps a new Viper hardtop and a used, first-gen Viper convertible?
