THIS IS A 2003 DODGE DAKOTA 4WD, CREW CAB WITH A 4.7 ENGINE. THE TRUCK HAS 126000 MILES ON IT, I AM DRIVING IT DAILY BACK AND FORTH TO WORK SO I WILL HAVE A FEW MORE MILES BY THE TIME SOMEONE BUYS IT. THE TRUCK HAS A 2 WAY VIPER REMOTE START, IT HAS A MATCHING RANCH TOPPER AND HAS NEWER TIRES. THE TRUCK HAD A NEW TRANSMISSION INSTALLED ABOUT A YEAR AGO RIGHT BEFORE I BOUGHT IT, YOU CAN TELL IT IS NEWER BECAUSE IT SHIFTS SMOOTH AND WORKS FLAWLESSLY. THE TRUCK ALSO RUNS LIKE A CHAMP, IT HAS NEVER GIVEN ME ANY TROUBLE. THE ONLY THING I DID TO IT WAS PUT NEW TIRES ON IT AND HAVE THE REMOTE START INSTALLED. IT HAD A CLEAN CARFAX AND I GOT REAR ENDED, VERY LIGHTLY, SO I AM NOT SURE IF THAT WILL SHOW UP ON CARFAX OR NOT BUT IT WAS VERY LIGHT HIT AND THE REAR BUMPER ON IT NOW IS ALL THE DAMAGED IT CAUSED, THE PERSON THAT HIT ME HAD NO INSURANCE AND YOU CAN BARELY TELL THERE IS DAMAGED SO I NEVER HAD IT REPAIRED BUT IF IT SHOWS UP YOU CAN SEE FIRST HAND HOW LIGHT THE HIT WAS. BESIDES THE RER BUMPER THE ONLY OTHER THING WRONG WITH THE TRUCK IS IT IS MISSING 3 OF THE LITTLE 2 INCH WHEEL CENTERS WHICH HAS THE SMALL DODGE HEAD EMBLEM ON THEM, I ORDERED THEM TODAY AND THEY SHOULD BE HERE IN A FEW DAYS SO THEY WILL BE ON THERE BY THE TIME SOMEONE BUYS THE TRUCK. EVERYTHING ELSE ON THE TRUCK WORKS PERFECTLY, A/C BLOWS ICE COLD AIR, HEAT WORKS GREAT, ALL THE POWER OPTIONS WORK PROPERLY INCLUDING THE CRUISE CONTROL. I DRIVE THIS LONG DISTANCES ALL THE TIME WITH NO WORRIES, THE ENGINE IS AS SOLID AS THEY COME. I FORGOT, IT DID HAVE A TUNE-UP RIGHT BEFORE WINTER AND NEW BRAKES LAST FALL. 2014 Dodge Durango leaks ahead of NY rollout
Wed, 27 Mar 2013Even though Chrysler will reportedly discontinue the Dodge Durango after the current model's lifespan - said to be around 2016 - that isn't stopping the automaker from improving its full-size, three-row SUV. The vehicle won't debut at the New York Auto Show until tomorrow, but images are already leaking out ahead of the embargo lift, and they show that the 2014 model is getting even more aggressive styling to go with more technology inside and out.
Dodge limited its early press shots of the new Durango to just the R/T trim level, but this new look adds a meaner look to this model with more dramatic projector-beam headlights along with a "floating" crosshair grille and a restyled fascia. At the rear of the Durango, LED racetrack taillights show a family resemblance to the Charger and Dart, while a new rear fascia adds to the styling while also allowing for an integrated trailer hitch.
On the tech side, the instrument panel looks to have been redesigned to include a standard seven-inch thin-film transistor (TFT) gauge cluster, and it also appears as if Chrysler's well-liked UConnect system has been updated with the 8.4-inch touchscreen found in other Chrysler vehicles. The 2013 model's conventional console shifter has been replaced by a rotary knob for gear selection, suggesting that there are transmission changes afoot as well. We'll have more details when the silks slide off this big boy tomorrow, so stay tuned.
Challenger A/T Unlimited Concept could be your next Hellcat-powered ORV
Fri, 29 Aug 2014This past June I spent an excellent day hanging out with Joey Ruiter, driving and discussing his Reboot Buggy project. Before heading home, I let him know that he was more than welcome to keep me abreast of whichever new automotive project he'd get into. You can never have too many car designers and one-off fabricators in your Rolodex, right?
Ruiter recently made good with the follow-up, emailing me with details on this Dodge Challenger A/T Untamed Concept that pushes a lot of hot buttons for the muscle car and off-roading enthusiasts.
This all-terrain Mopar is a lot more than a Challenger body dropped on a truck chassis, too. A materialized version of the A/T would included a completely new, long-travel suspension, skid plates, body armor and rock sliders, and obviously flared fenders to help accommodate a hellacious set of off-road-ready tires. The dramatically revised underpinnings would be topped with a slick graphics package and a killer lower light bar, all making the A/T look quite cohesive in its own, radical way. And the result would be a car no longer limited to mere road-driving.
Dodge shows can-do attitude with grand Can'avan sculpture
Fri, 01 Nov 2013There are lots of ways to celebrate an important birthday, and all of them are well deserved. You can throw a big party, buy yourself something nice, or - if you're the altruistic type - do something for others in need. The latter is how Chrysler has opted to mark the 30th anniversary of its Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country.
Together with hunger-advocacy organization Canstruction, the Chrysler Foundation has built a full-scale replica of the Grand Caravan out of 30,000 food cans in the square at the corner of Yonge and Dundas in Toronto, a ways down the highway from where the real vans are built in Windsor. The sculpture was built over the course of 10 hours by 30 volunteers and was displayed earlier this week.
Now the installation is being taken down, and the cans of food are being donated to the Daily Bread Food Bank, which will assemble them into 2,000 food baskets to be distributed to those in need through its network of 200 food banks across the Canadian metropolis.
