This is a 2005 Dodge Dakota SLT that I bought new in December 2004.  It is completely stock with the exception of a "K&N" Air Intake Kit and a "Flowsound" muffler exhaust with dual chrome tips. It has an overhead console with digital temperature and directional display, as well as MPG indication, DTE(distance till empty) indication, odometer, and garage door programable buttons.  The rear seats fold up or down and both rear doors open and close.  It has a towing package with a brake controller below dash as seen in the pictures.  It also has a 6ft bed with a bed-liner that is just sitting in the bed.  I have never "mounted" it for the fact that I thought I might take it out one day and put something else in its place.  The oil has been changed every 3,000 miles when ran with conventional motor oil.  It is now changed every 6,000 miles because I changed over to synthetic motor oil.  This vehicle has never been smoked in or had any type of animal in it.  The truck has been very well maintained and is very clean inside and out.  It's never been in a wreck or accident and as the pictures show has no damage to the body with the exception of 3 scratches on the upper part of the tailgate which are from moving some furniture when I first purchased the truck(shown in pictures). I have never had any problems with the truck and it runs and sounds great!  It's been a wonderful truck, hate to sell it but my family is growing and we need something more accommodating.  Truck is for sale locally and I have the right to end auction at any time. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions.

Dodge Dart Registry helps you crowdsource money for your next ride [w/video]

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

To be honest, we're surprised something like this didn't pop up sooner. Chrysler is riffing on gift registries for couples getting married or expecting babies and cross-pollinating it with a social media funding website like Kickstarter to help customers buy its 2013 Dodge Dart. The Dodge Dart Registry allows people to build and customize a new Dart exactly how they want it, then let other people purchase some or all of the components as gifts.
The registry lets you add features like dark headlights, dual exhaust, various wheels and even interior options without choosing a specific trim level. This sounds a lot like the system Scion uses to let its customers configure cars, and this could be a great idea for Dodge. Of course, this system has the added benefit of being a social media affair for you to share with your friends... you know, so they can help pay for some of the parts, too.
The best thing about the registry is that you can configure your dream Dart from the comfort of your home computer, which strikes us as much better than walking around Bed, Bath and Beyond for the better part of an afternoon with an electronic scanner. The one thing that Dodge doesn't offer? "Thank You" cards. Those are on you.

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat revving is sonic bacon

Fri, 23 May 2014

This is the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, and we're sure that by now, you know its stats, including over 600 horsepower from its 6.2-liter, supercharged V8. What, pray tell, does that blown engine sound like, though?
At least judging on the sonic strength of this video, it's very, very dirty. Honestly, it sounds unlike anything that's come out of the Chrysler Group in a long time, if ever. It's loud, almost brutally so, with a bark that few road-going V8s can match.
Of course, you should be the final judge here. Take a look and a listen at the two videos below, one of which comes from our friends at Cars.com that provides a nice look under the hood, and then let us know what you think of the Hellcat's singing voice in Comments.

Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat's 707 storming horses can be yours for $60k

Wed, 16 Jul 2014

We love a good deal on high performance. It's what traditionally makes muscle cars so appealing - you get lots of speed, for not a lot of money. For 2015, Dodge has taken this to its logical extreme, offering its new 707-horsepower, supercharged, V8-powered Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat for just $59,900. For those wondering, that works out to just about $85 per horsepower, which when compared with a typical budget performance car, like the $24,995, 210-hp Volkswagen GTI ($119 per hp), demonstrates the Hellcat's astonishing value.
The information was revealed by a photo (click on the inset image to expand) taken at this week's Portland launch event (our man Seyth Miersma is just now on the ground and will have a full report on the madness that is the Hellcat soon) for the entire 2015 Challenger range, and reveals the Hellcat's price alongside its high-powered competitors from Ford and Chevrolet.
The discontinued 662-hp Mustang GT500 started at $56,000, while the 580-hp Camaro ZL1 starts off at $58K. Indeed, the only muscle car that outprices the Hellcat is the track-focused Camaro Z/28, a car that we're guessing could still wallop the Hellcat on the right piece of track, despite being down over 200 hp.
