Beautiful elderly owned 2001 Dodge Intrepid. I am selling this for my mothers best friend, it was her fathers car, and he passed away at the beginning of the year at the age of 95. He was a mechanic and had a local repair shop for most of his life and always took amazing care of all his vehicles and it truly shows. The interior is as new and all power options work flawlessly, as does the A/C, Cruise Control, etc. The exterior paint is beautiful, and shines as new, with no fading or scratches other then small scratches on left rear of bumper, that could be easily repaired. No dents other then small hard to see one on hood, that a paintless dent guy could easily remove, there is no paint damage.
Mechanically perfect in every way and ready to be driven everywhere. Oil was always changed with Mobil 1 and it shows, engine is silent and clean with no sludge issues or leaks whatsoever. Rides and drives as new, no shakes creaks shimmys or rattles. I personally changed the brakes, fluids, battery, flushed the brake fluid, and washed it, was not even detailed. You will be hard pressed to find a cleaner one around here, and I promise you won't be disappointing. Very roomy car with split bench front seat and seating for up to 6 people. Gas mileage is great and car is very powerful. Feel free to call to arrange to come see or drive it, 914-906-9233. Thanks, Brett

Also the car was bought in 2002 when almost brand new with a minor front fender damage, and repaired over 10 years ago. The damage was very minimal and only involved the fender and headlamp. You cannot even tell anything was done to the car. Feel more then free to come and inspect it or send someone to check it out.

NHTSA investigating power modules on Chrysler Group SUVs and minivans

Mon, 29 Sep 2014

The Center for Auto Safety is officially petitioning the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to begin scrutinizing alleged problems with the totally integrated power module (TIPM) on about 24 Chrysler Group SUVs and minivans. The advocacy group claims that the part's failure can cause affected vehicles to stall or not start at all. NHTSA is still looking into the accusations and deciding whether a full investigation is actually warranted.
The CAS petition claims at least 70 TIPM failures, but according to NHTSA, six of the complaints are for models that don't have the modules. In 34 of the reported cases, the vehicles refused to start, and in 17 of them the engine stalled. There were also two allegations of smoke and one of a fire. However, none of these affected airbag deployment or resulted in a crash.
This petition isn't the first TIPM-related problem for Chrysler Group. A recent report in the New York Times alleged that it found 240 complaints potentially related to the issue on NHTSA's website alone. In September, the automaker also recalled 230,760 examples worldwide (188,723 in the US) of the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango replace the fuel pump relay circuit inside of the TIPM-7 with one external to the unit. The original part could allegedly cause the models to stall without warning. Even earlier, the company also recalled about 80,000 examples of the Jeep Wrangler and Dodge Nitro in 2007 to have the module reprogrammed.

Dodge bringing revamped Challenger, Charger to Big Apple

Mon, 07 Apr 2014

The 2014 New York Auto Show will be a big one for Dodge, as the brand has announced that refreshed versions of the 2015 Challenger and 2015 Charger will debut at the show. This is a particularly big deal for the two-door Challenger which, visually, has remained unchanged since is burst back onto the scene in 2008 and helped reignite the muscle car wars.
As a sort of hint, this announcement was accompanied by the picture you see above - the Super Bee logo in the Challenger's new instrument cluster. According to Dodge, the New York debut of a new "powertrain combination" - possibly with the high-output Hellcat V8 - will leave enthusiasts "abuzz."
As for the Charger, Dodge is promising a full redesign that should be a significant departure from the blunt, angry looks of the current model. At this point, there's no indication that the Challenger's new powertrain could be fitted to the Charger, although considering how mechanically similar these two vehicles have been, it doesn't seem outside the realm of possibility.
