Condition Overview:

Exterior: All original including gold vinyl graphics ( Standard option for sports package ), Paints is faded and no signs of a repaint, truck bed is fine, just the usual scratches for being used a pick-up. Has original Sports Package wheels, steering, bucket seats, but no side view mirrors A small dent at rear passenger corner, just below passenger side rear tail light is present. No signs of rust bubbling through the paint. just Some surface rust from exposed metal when the paint was scratched. The front valance ( below front bumper was painted black.  No A/C, no power steering.

Only emission part components I have are in the picture.

Interior: All Original, Seats, dash,  (interior has not been molested), dash and seats are cracked, door cards are original and undamaged, stock AM/FM radio with speakers are missing, headliner missing, sun visor ( sun damaged and faded ),

Special Note:

The Pick on auction is in relatively good shape for its age.  There is no evidence of any collision or structural damage.  Please email me any requests for further pictures of any part of the vehicle.  There are sellers on ebay that have all the necessary parts to restore it if the new buyer wishes to do it.  Very few D50s are left in this condition.  Most of them have been run to the ground.  This would be a great project for a full restoration.

The pick-up will be sold as is with a bill of sale indicating that the car is being sold and disclosed that it cannot pass smog.  It is up to the buyer to choose to use it as a parts car or to find all the emission parts to pass smog in California.  Seller has some of the emission parts, but not all.  See pics.

Buyer will need to have a flat bed or tow truck to take the vehicle home.  The pick-up runs but the rear driver's side brake drum is leaking at the wheel cylinder.  This poses a safety hazard.  The truck can be driven around the block and up to the tow truck without issue.

Mopar '14 teased, returns to Challenger

Wed, 16 Oct 2013

Every year, Mopar selects one special vehicle from the Chrysler portfolio and creates its own, one-off, special edition. Previously, there was the Mopar '13 Dart, '12 300, '11 Charger and the '10 Challenger, and for 2014, this teaser image shows that the company will be giving the unique treatment to Dodge's muscle coupe yet again.
Mopar has not revealed any details about its '14 Challenger, though the brand's president and CEO, Pietro Gorlier, says that "This limited-edition ride is for muscle-car fans who love high octane and customizable performance." All we know is, it's white, has some blue stripes, and a black (or carbon fiber) rear spoiler.
We'll know more when the Mopar '14 Challenger is revealed at the SEMA show in early November. In the meantime, click the image above to check out the teaser in high resolution, and have a look below for Chrysler's official press blast.

Roadkill builds crazy-cheap 1968 Dodge Charger rat rod using an old motorhome

Tue, 24 Dec 2013

Certain requests for description simply cannot be fulfilled, like if someone asked you to describe Picasso's Guernica or Gilliam's Brazil. There is only one appropriate answer to such entreaties, and that is: "You just gotta see it." That's where we are with the latest episode of Roadkill, wherein Messr's Freiburger and Finnegan dig out a 1968 Dodge Charger that Freiburger acquired in exchange for a set of cylinder heads, and intend to stuff it with the big-block motor from a long-bed, three-quarter ton Dodge pickup.
Only the pickup is too nice to tear apart, and the Charger needs a whole lot more lovin' - and parts - than initially expected. Enter, stage right, the Class A Dodge Pace Arrow motorhome with a 440 big-block purchased for $1,000, and a retired Plymouth Fury from a previous episode.
What ensues over the course of the 40-minute installment is more cuttin', yankin', leakin', stallin', hammerin' and smokin' action than you've seen in a long time, and some techniques that would have made even Cooter wonder, "I'm not sure if we should do that." By the end, though, the payoff is good enough to make you think about perusing AutoTrader for a '68 Charger just to see if maybe...

NHTSA investigating Ram 1500 models for rear differential failure

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and its Ram brand following a number of reports regarding the 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. According to 15 consumer complaints, the trucks' rear differential locked up while in other cases, the driveshaft separated at its connection to the diff.
Nearly half of the reports claim the truck was traveling at or above 50 miles per hour, while two consumers reported that the diff lockup/driveshaft separation sent their pickups into a spin. Most troubling, though, is that consumers reported little to no sound indicating there was a problem with their truck.
We reached out to Ram for additional information, such as how many vehicles may be affected or what equipment might be fitted that could cause the issue. Unfortunately, the company wasn't willing to elaborate on specifics.
