1989 Dodge LE 250 (W-250) 4x4 Sno-Commander Series with factory Meyers C-8 Snowplow with factory controls and light kit,custom insulated highrise campershell, with cab over compartment and heater(attached to engine cooling system) with remote controls in the cab,411 rears,Drawtite receiver hitch(8,000 lbs. trailer wt.),Many spare parts such as New Hubs(still in the box),plow parts,bulbs for all lites,etc. I am the original owner and purchased the vehicle new in 1989 from Chrysler,I still have the original bill of sale and vin. sheet. There were only 243 of this vehicle produced by Chrysler,it was the first year of E.F.I.,pre-power wagon of the 90's. The vehicle has not been worked much since 1997,when I sold my farm in New Jersey and moved to Nevada,it has made four trips across country since then, with no problems. Started restoring it then with the intent of working it when I retired,but unfortunately I became disabled last year and it's no use to me now. I would like to see it go to someone who would appreciate the work and care I've given it and not just run it into the ground, for it's a rare breed and they will never make one like it AGAIN.I would like to see it go to a GOOD home, for it's been good to ME,and never let me down over the years,hopefully it can do the same for someone else. Toyota, Lexus dominate KBB's Best Resale Value Awards
Tue, 19 Nov 2013Toyota and Lexus stormed the 2014 Kelley Blue Book Best Resale Value Awards, winning a combined 18 categories including best brand and best luxury brand. This marks the third year in a row that both automakers have won the Brand and Luxury Brand resale value awards. In all, Toyota won 11 categories and Lexus won seven.
Honda made a good showing, as well, winning two segments (Accord Plug-In Hybrid and Civic Si) and putting one car on the top-10 Best Resale Value list (CR-V). Chevrolet did even better, winning two segments (with the V6 Camaro and the Corvette) and placing three cars on the top-10-overall list (again, the Camaro and Corvette, plus the Silverado 1500).
The other winners came from Jeep, Dodge, Infiniti, Subaru and Audi. To give you a clearer picture of the Toyota and Lexus domination, their 18 mentions represents more than half of the 34 awards (including the top-10-overall list).
Dodge Durango gets the Blacktop treatment
Sat, 09 Aug 2014The Dodge Durango is getting a meaner, more aggressive look as it becomes the latest model from the brand to wear the Blacktop Appearance Package. The upgrades are strictly cosmetic, but they lend the SUV a more assertive demeanor that some buyers like.
Available on the SXT, Limited and R/T (shown above) models, all Blacktop Durangos get black 20-inch wheels, dual exhaust, bod- color fascia and gloss black trim. The grille surround, air dam, mirrors and headlight surrounds all get the inky treatment, as well. The improvements add $1,590 to the cost of the SXT. They come to $1,990 on the Limited but also include HID headlights with LED running lights and a leather interior. Finally, R/T buyers only need to pay $295 for the upgrades. The Blacktop Durango hits showrooms this October.
If you're already in the market for a Durango but want a dash more style with no added performance, the Blacktop might not be a bad way to go. It certainly gives the SUV a bit more edge than it has in stock form. Scroll down to read the full release.
2015 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak previewed
Fri, 29 Aug 2014Dodge and Mopar have never strayed far from success in drag racing, be it on run-what-you-brung nights at the local strip or at the highest levels of the sport. Hoping to both add to that heritage and capitalize on some of the media spotlight that's shown so brightly on the brand of late, Dodge has given us our first look at the 2015 Mopar Challenger Drag Pak test car.
Though this first iteration doesn't make use of the 707-horsepower Hellcat engine, it seems to be a pretty formidable racing package. Starting with a stock '15 Challenger, Mopar adds a full roll cage built to National Hot Rod Association specs. Rubber front and back is drag racing-ready as well, with 28x4.5-inch tires in the front, and fat 30x9-inch tires out back - all from Hoosier.
Powering the beast is a massive 426-cubic-inch (7.0-liter) Hemi Race V8, with output levels that are still unspecified. A Chrysler 727 automatic transmission connects up to a racing style shift lever, with integral line lock.
