1979 Dodge Power Wagon 200 Pickup Truck With 9,230 Original Miles!! Garage Kept! on 2040-cars

Year:1979 Mileage:9230
Location:

Hawley, Pennsylvania, United States

Hawley, Pennsylvania, United States

Up for auction is a 1979 Dodge Power Wagon W200 4X4 with 9,230 original miles.  Truck was originally used as a brush truck for the fire department and in more recent years was used for fire police duties.  Truck was stored in a heated garge for the past 34 years until December 2013.  The truck is in exceptionally good condition.  The body has some small nicks and dings and i have tried to add as many pictures as possible so you can accuratly assess.  It is powered by a 360 cubic inch V-8 and a 3 speed automatic transmission with 4X4.  Engine transmission and 4X4 work great!  There is an 8000 lbs line pull winch on front and nice 3-door cap on rear.  Also included are the functioning lites and siren system.  Undercarriage is very clean, i did notice a few small holes starting in the drivers floor pan (see pics).  The bed once had a pump mounted in it so there are some holes in the bed floor(pictures from below).  The interior shows minimal fade on door panels and wear on seat.  I recently had it looked over for Pennsylvania safety inspection and the only thing found was the need for front brake pads which have just been replaced.  The BF Goodrich tires have well over 3/4 tread and are in great shape.  Truck runs down the road straight and is a true pleasure to drive.  Here is the chance at a rare find; One of the nicest Power Wagons you may ever see again!!  If you would like to set up to take a closer look or have any questions feel free to email me.  If you have 0 feedback you must contact me before bidding or your bid will be removed.  If you do not have the funds immediatly available do not bid!!!  Winning bidder must pickup and pay at my location in full within (7) days of auction close or there will be a $50 a day storage charge!!

Dodge pulls New Girl and The Office stars for new Dart spots

Wed, 06 Aug 2014

Dodge is hoping that a heavy dash of humor helps it move some more units of the Dart with a hilarious ad campaign called Don't Touch My Dart. The spots star actors Craig Robinson, best known for his role as Darryl on The Office, and Jake Johnson from New Girl as neighbors and friends playing a game of one-upmanship over Robinson's new car. Johnson is envious of the ride and just wants to touch it.
The ads are pretty funny if you're a fan of somewhat absurdist humor, and Robinson has just the right amount of over-the-top seriousness to really make the commercials work. They have kind of a Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote vibe with Johnson constantly in inept pursuit of what he wants, but he clearly isn't getting it.
The first four spots in the campaign are already online, but according to Dodge this is just the beginning. The company says that it's planning about 24 different versions of these ads in various lengths to play on TV and online. You can check out the ads titled First Scratch, Birdhouse Police Garage Door and Voice Touching below, along with the brand's release about the new ads. There's also a pretty good gag on its YouTube page with Robinson protecting his Dart.

2014 Dodge Journey Crossroad

Thu, 17 Jul 2014

Watchers of the auto industry will notice a theme among the formerly bankrupted American automakers, General Motors and Chrysler. There are the post-bankruptcy vehicles, and the pre-bankruptcy vehicles. The former, in the case of Chrysler, include the Jeep Grand Cherokee, as well as the 200 and 300. For GM, there's the Cadillac ATS, Chevrolet Impala and Buick Encore, among others. These vehicles have the freshest styling, with sharp exteriors and well-crafted interiors, as well as advanced powertrains and well-sorted chassis.
As for the pre-bankruptcy vehicles, they tend to be easy to spot. Most suffer from inferior driving dynamics, cheaper interiors, poorer fuel economy and often homely looks (we know, there were some decent cars before the bankruptcy, but they were pretty heavily outweighed by the bad ones). Think late, last-generation Chevrolet Impala or Chrysler 200. Increasingly, though, we're seeing vehicles that split the balance between pre- and post-bankruptcy. Vehicles like the Dodge Journey.
The Journey debuted in 2007 as a 2008 model year vehicle, meaning it should fall into the latter category. But heavily breathed upon in 2011, it now enjoys a new, 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, a big, critically acclaimed touchscreen display and in the case of today's tester, a new-for-2014 Crossroad spec.

Chrysler recalls 350k vehicles over ignition switches

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

Chrysler has announced a recall covering 349,442 vehicles due to ignition switches that can either become stuck or move without warning. All of the affected vehicles are from the 2008 model year, and were built before May 12, 2008.
The automaker has learned that ignition keys on some vehicles "may not fully return to the 'ON' position after rotation to the 'START' position during engine-startup," the company said in a statement. Additionally, "an ignition key may not fully return to the 'ON' position after rotation to the 'START' position and may inadvertently move through the 'ON' position to 'ACCESSORY' or 'OFF.'"
Chrysler says it is unaware of any related injuries, and notes that while reduced braking, engine or steering power is possible in such instances, the airbags are not affected. The later stands in contrast to General Motors' recent rash of high-profile recalls, and it's an important distinction that Chrysler (understandably) felt necessary to call out in bold print in its press release.
