Body has dents, scratches and a very small amount of rust on cab. Rust will be taken care of if the truck does not sell this time around, but the reserve will be higher next time after the rust is gone. It is an easy fix as there is not much (maybe a 50 cent piece size spot). Nerf bars have rust on them. Rhino bed liner. Tow package. Interior is in great condition except for the dash (fully functional, just badly cracked). Just came out of our detail shop end of June, the entire exterior of the truck has been cleaned/polished/waxed/and-or treated. Truck runs great but does need a few minor repairs: AC does not work (guy at Auto Zone said AC clutch, or possibly compressor). Heater core is bad. Needs new front brakes (may be taken care of if truck does not sell this time around, but price next time will reflect the cost of the brakes). Will need new tires before the end of summer, tread is getting down there. I do have a second set of tires on nice chrome rims, they are 37" and have maybe 40% tread, they came with the truck when I bought it but I've never put them on it (previous owner ran them though). Can work out a price on the extra tires if buyer wants them. I have not owned the truck long, I traded my car for it but an upcoming move has forced me to sell it. Great off road rig, it's also been my daily driver since I got it. Has an aftermarket stereo but it does not have CD, it only has ports to plug in your media (phone, ipod, etc). It does radio & truck also has an aftermarket bluetooth unit installed (I've never used it though, was in the truck when I bought it). Truck is all wired up for CB radio, just need to plug in your CB. Seats are in excellent shape... no tears, stains, etc. Carpet is pretty nice, too. Tinted windows. Sport package. New spark plugs. Needs fuel pump ($220 at auto zone) Nice truck, just need to sell it so I can move. Cash transactions preferred. Any cashiers checks/ money orders have to be approved by my bank before sale is final. Cash in person is what I prefer though.

2014 Dodge Journey Crossroad
Thu, 17 Jul 2014Watchers of the auto industry will notice a theme among the formerly bankrupted American automakers, General Motors and Chrysler. There are the post-bankruptcy vehicles, and the pre-bankruptcy vehicles. The former, in the case of Chrysler, include the Jeep Grand Cherokee, as well as the 200 and 300. For GM, there's the Cadillac ATS, Chevrolet Impala and Buick Encore, among others. These vehicles have the freshest styling, with sharp exteriors and well-crafted interiors, as well as advanced powertrains and well-sorted chassis.
As for the pre-bankruptcy vehicles, they tend to be easy to spot. Most suffer from inferior driving dynamics, cheaper interiors, poorer fuel economy and often homely looks (we know, there were some decent cars before the bankruptcy, but they were pretty heavily outweighed by the bad ones). Think late, last-generation Chevrolet Impala or Chrysler 200. Increasingly, though, we're seeing vehicles that split the balance between pre- and post-bankruptcy. Vehicles like the Dodge Journey.
The Journey debuted in 2007 as a 2008 model year vehicle, meaning it should fall into the latter category. But heavily breathed upon in 2011, it now enjoys a new, 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, a big, critically acclaimed touchscreen display and in the case of today's tester, a new-for-2014 Crossroad spec.
Chevy Corvette Stingray defeating rivals where it matters most
Wed, 16 Jul 2014Everything is coming up roses for the award-winning Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, as new data from the North American Dealers Association dissected by GM Authority reveals that America's sports car is handily outselling two of its more expensive rivals.
Through June of 2014, the NADA notes that the Corvette has rung up 17,744 sales, handily besting the Porsche 911 and positively spanking the SRT Viper. Of course, you're sitting there thinking, "Corvette is outselling the much more expensive Porsche and Viper. Sky blue, water wet." But what's impressive here is just how thoroughly the Chevrolet is beating its two rivals, with this data serving as a testament to just how popular the seventh-generation sports car has become.
So far this year, Porsche has managed to move 5,169 911s, according to NADA. Considering that the base model starts at nearly $15,000 more than the most heavily optioned Stingray, and that Porsche owners have a vast, expensive options catalogue to select from, Stuttgart's sales are still plenty impressive in relation to the nearly 18,000 Corvettes sold.
Dodge Dart falls short of Consumer Reports Recommended, Caddy XTS and Lincoln MKS, too
Thu, 22 Nov 2012The Dodge Dart, Cadillac XTS and Lincoln MKS all failed to earn a "Recommended" rating from Consumer Reports. When it came to the compact Dart, the organization's testers thought the vehicle offered a quiet cabin, solid-feeling chassis and nimble suspension, but the new model ultimately fell short of the coveted rating due to powertrain issues. The institute's reviewers found the base 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine to be underpowered and noted "drivability issues" when the available turbocharged 1.4-liter four was paired with the optional dual-clutch transmission (some of our editors disliked it paired with the six-speed manual). CR also dinged the latter powerplant for sounding "raspy." For what it's worth, we think the forced-induction engine offers an excellent and playful exhaust note, but that's just us.
As for the XTS, CR lauded the car for its luxurious cabin, but the vehicle's experience was dulled by its finicky CUE infotainment interface. Overall, the big Cadillac scored much higher than its cross-town rival from Lincoln. While testers found the American luxury sedan to offer a quiet ride and quality fit and finish, they felt the MKS delivered a "cramped driving position, ungainly handling, uncomposed ride, and limited visibility." Ouch. At the end of the day, both cars fell short of rivals from Japan, Germany and Korea. Check out the full press release below with more details, along with CR's musings on the Chevrolet Spark and Lexus ES.
