1996 Dodge Viper GTS in Mint Condition

  • Rare and collectible Viper blue with white stripes
  • NO paint work- flawless condition
  • 12,450 original miles
  •  From my private collection and stored in climate controlled garage
  •  8.0 liter, 488 cubic inch torque monster, factory 6 speed

I am a private collector and had previously owned another '96 Viper GTS.  After I sold the other one in 2006 I bought this one. I came back to this particular car because of the outrageous looks and performance.

Personally, a 1996 blue and white GTS is the only Viper I would ever own. Not only are they the most sought after but I feel they best represent the history and performance of the Viper.

I believe this to be one of the finest examples available and certainly the best value. The gaps are perfect (check others and you will see what I mean), their is no paint work at all, the bolsters show no signs of wear, the factory wheels have zero rash, all factory TSB's were performed, everything works as new including cold A/C, fluids are changed annually, no leaks and tires are 80% new,

The three owner history is well documented and the appearance is 100% stock. The care this car has received is very evident, even the front chin/spoiler are absent scrapes or paint work.

Modifications are those that in my opinion are absolutrely necessary to this car. In June of 2012 the Random Tech (RTECH) 3" stainless steel catback exhaust with X pipe and 4" polished Stainless tips were installed. Shortly after the K+N filters and smooth tubes were installed.

I am selling the car because I recenly bought a Audi R8 V-10 and do not need two, 10 cylinder sport cars. Although these cars are very different I still cannot justify keeping both.

Original manual, keys, keyless, puchase documents and owner history go with the car. The title is free and clear and in my pocession.

You will find that other B+W 1996 Viper GTS's in good condition go for between $50-$60,000. Mine would compare  as good or better then most, if not all.

Mine is priced thousands below that number but that is in exchange for not wasting my time. I am more then happy to answer reasonable questions from qualified buyers. Email me and I will prompltly reply.

I will gladly help with shipping as I have worked with several top transporters. Car is twenty minutes outside Raleigh and RDU airport.

thank you

2015 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak previewed

Fri, 29 Aug 2014

Dodge and Mopar have never strayed far from success in drag racing, be it on run-what-you-brung nights at the local strip or at the highest levels of the sport. Hoping to both add to that heritage and capitalize on some of the media spotlight that's shown so brightly on the brand of late, Dodge has given us our first look at the 2015 Mopar Challenger Drag Pak test car.
Though this first iteration doesn't make use of the 707-horsepower Hellcat engine, it seems to be a pretty formidable racing package. Starting with a stock '15 Challenger, Mopar adds a full roll cage built to National Hot Rod Association specs. Rubber front and back is drag racing-ready as well, with 28x4.5-inch tires in the front, and fat 30x9-inch tires out back - all from Hoosier.
Powering the beast is a massive 426-cubic-inch (7.0-liter) Hemi Race V8, with output levels that are still unspecified. A Chrysler 727 automatic transmission connects up to a racing style shift lever, with integral line lock.

NHTSA investigating power modules on Chrysler Group SUVs and minivans

Mon, 29 Sep 2014

The Center for Auto Safety is officially petitioning the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to begin scrutinizing alleged problems with the totally integrated power module (TIPM) on about 24 Chrysler Group SUVs and minivans. The advocacy group claims that the part's failure can cause affected vehicles to stall or not start at all. NHTSA is still looking into the accusations and deciding whether a full investigation is actually warranted.
The CAS petition claims at least 70 TIPM failures, but according to NHTSA, six of the complaints are for models that don't have the modules. In 34 of the reported cases, the vehicles refused to start, and in 17 of them the engine stalled. There were also two allegations of smoke and one of a fire. However, none of these affected airbag deployment or resulted in a crash.
This petition isn't the first TIPM-related problem for Chrysler Group. A recent report in the New York Times alleged that it found 240 complaints potentially related to the issue on NHTSA's website alone. In September, the automaker also recalled 230,760 examples worldwide (188,723 in the US) of the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango replace the fuel pump relay circuit inside of the TIPM-7 with one external to the unit. The original part could allegedly cause the models to stall without warning. Even earlier, the company also recalled about 80,000 examples of the Jeep Wrangler and Dodge Nitro in 2007 to have the module reprogrammed.

Ralph Gilles responds to Dodge rumors, says brand is 'here to stay'

Fri, 12 Jul 2013

This is why we love Ralph Gilles. While in Italy hanging out with a group of Viper Club members in Europe, the SRT boss took the time to respond to a question directed at him on Instagram in regards to the future of Dodge.
Recent reports have painted a bleak picture for Dodge, but Gilles defended Chrysler's full-line brand by stating that the rumors are, "all rumors, Dodge is here to stay! It may get more focused going forward but not killed!" The idea of a "more focused" Dodge brand could lend some credibility to reports that the Grand Caravan and Durango are on their way out, which would leave Dodge solely as a car, or car-based, automaker.
