LOW MILES NO RESERVE 2002 Viper RT/10 removable top and just in time for nice weather.  I wish I could keep this car for myself but with 4 kids and a wife it is not real practical.  I am helping a friend sell this car but have enjoyed  the car myself for a few weeks (he is not internet friendly.)  Feel free to see this car any time and inspect it for yourself.  I will tell you everything known about this car (including the good and bad.)  I do have a few other pics of the car but was limited to the 24.  The car has had a little paintwork done so I included a before picture at the end of the pics (unfortunately he did not take a good one but I felt it important to include to show the minor cosmetic damage before paintwork.)

Low miles, No Reserve. Less than 32k miles it has been driven little over the years and appears to have been very well cared for.  With such a light body and a big engine it really moves.  It has a 6 speed so you can drive it more cautiously and get decent gas mileage also.  The top comes off for the convertible feel and is great this time of year.  Tires are in great condition and interior is in really good shape.  As I inspected under the hood it appears to be all original and not messed with.
The story I learned about the salvage title was about 6 months ago the car was "borrowed without permission :)"  in Las Vegas and during the joyride there was some cosmetic damage done on the lower front bumper and some on the rear bumper, mostly scuffs and scrapes.  I notice about a 2 inch hole in the rear tailight passenger side as you can see in the pic.  There are a few small minor cracks in the fiberglass behind the drivers door also in pics.  The entire vehicle was not repainted as you can see from a couple minor flaws. There is also about a 18 inch small rubber trim piece that goes around the plastic inner wheelwell (cant see unless you open the hood.)  There is a very minor couple of scratches on the passenger headlight not very noticeable. The wheel was damaged as well so a new set was put on.  I would guess the car was not recovered immediately after it was taken because the damage seemed so minor I would think it would never have totaled.  That is the only reason I can think of why it is salvage title.  I would also spend about $1000 to have a good body guy polish it and do a little touch up on the rocker area and if you are really concerned the little area with the little spider web type crack in pic.

For the person who does not have $50k for a flawless viper, this is a great opportunity to own one and get the same enjoyment and attention without spending a huge fortune.  Although the title is marked at least it was not smashed or destroyed in a major wreck but small cosmetic damage as a theft recovery.   The car is for sale locally and has had a couple of good offers and even a part cash parttrade offer but wanted to see what it would do on a worldwide market, therefore the right is reserved to end auction early if the local offer is raised a little.  Car is sold as is where is with no warranty implied or included.  Please serious inquiries only and please call with any questions or feel free to inspect.

For those concerned about a salvage title, if I understand correct you will get a rebuilt/restored title once you do a safety and emission test and it gets registered in your area

I am in the shipping business so I can certainly help with a shipping quote but buyer responsible to pay for shipping. You could probably drive it across the country but would be less than $1000 to transport about anywhere in the US, maybe little more
CALL 8OI647IOI2 for a shipping quote anywhere in the world or you can use your own shipping no problem.

IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 10 POSITIVE FEEDBACK PLEASE CONTACT ME TO LET ME KNOW YOU ARE A SERIOUS BIDDER IF YOU INTEND TO WIN/BUY THIS. I DONT WANT ANY BIDDERS THAT WILL NOT FOLLOW THROUGH.

NHTSA investigating power modules on Chrysler Group SUVs and minivans

Mon, 29 Sep 2014

The Center for Auto Safety is officially petitioning the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to begin scrutinizing alleged problems with the totally integrated power module (TIPM) on about 24 Chrysler Group SUVs and minivans. The advocacy group claims that the part's failure can cause affected vehicles to stall or not start at all. NHTSA is still looking into the accusations and deciding whether a full investigation is actually warranted.
The CAS petition claims at least 70 TIPM failures, but according to NHTSA, six of the complaints are for models that don't have the modules. In 34 of the reported cases, the vehicles refused to start, and in 17 of them the engine stalled. There were also two allegations of smoke and one of a fire. However, none of these affected airbag deployment or resulted in a crash.
This petition isn't the first TIPM-related problem for Chrysler Group. A recent report in the New York Times alleged that it found 240 complaints potentially related to the issue on NHTSA's website alone. In September, the automaker also recalled 230,760 examples worldwide (188,723 in the US) of the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango replace the fuel pump relay circuit inside of the TIPM-7 with one external to the unit. The original part could allegedly cause the models to stall without warning. Even earlier, the company also recalled about 80,000 examples of the Jeep Wrangler and Dodge Nitro in 2007 to have the module reprogrammed.

Chrysler recalling over 280k minivans because airbags may deploy on wrong side

Mon, 08 Jul 2013

Chrysler has issued a recall for some 2013 Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan and Ram C/V Tradesman vans built between May 10, 2012 and June 7, 2013. These vehicles may have a software error that would cause the wrong side (opposite side) airbags to deploy in a crash. With this defect, a left-side impact would cause the right-side airbag to deploy, etc.
The recall affects 281,500 vehicles in total: 224k in the US, 49,300 in Canada, 2,900 in Mexico and 5,300 in other locations. Chrysler will notify owners of effected vehicles, and reflash the offending occupant restraint control module to resolve the issue. 25,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango SUVs recalled over brake feel

Mon, 10 Mar 2014

Chrysler has announced that it is recalling over 25,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango SUVs from several markets over concerns about brake feel under hard braking. The affected models are from the 2012 and 2013 model years, although the actual dates of production aren't available. 18,700 are in the US, while 825 are in Canada, 530 are in Mexico and a further 5,200 outside of North America.
According to a statement, Chrysler was informed of the issue by a component supplier for the Ready Alert Braking system, which primes the brakes in anticipation of an emergency stop. A component in the system was restricting the flow of brake fluid too much.
As Chrysler is quick to point out, the way the brakes functioned was in compliance with regulations and there are no reported cases of drivers losing braking power. Instead, the issue rests with what Chrysler calls a pedal feel that "was not consistent with customer expectations." So it would seem Chrysler is being proactive and fixing a problem not because there's a legal issue at work, but simply because it doesn't feel the way the manufacturer wants it to. Well done.
