1975 308 Gt4 - California on 2040-cars

Year:1975 Mileage:92000
Location:

Laguna Niguel, California, United States

Laguna Niguel, California, United States

Highly desirable year for carbureted 308’s since it is smog exempt in California.  No more worry to get the car to pass smog every two years!  1975 Ferrari 308 GT4, VIN # 10330, production date March 1975.  This car started its life in California and was in Nevada for few years before I bought the car and brought back to California.  It is 100% rust free.  Please see list of work that has been done on the car in the last year.

  1. The car was completely stripped down including glasses, molding, lights, trim pieces, interior; doors, hood, engine cover and trunk were removed from the car.  The paint was completely sanded down to bare metal and was then primed, painted and color sanded.  The paint has five years warranty.

  2. The front valance is brand new.  I was able to find a NOS after extensive search.

  3. Both front seats leather were completely reupholstered.

  4. Complete new wool carpet inside the car.

  5. Complete new carpet in the trunk area.

  6. New Momo steering wheel.  I also have the original steering wheel that is in good condition and comes with the car.

  7. Vitaloni power left and right mirrors.  These are the same power mirrors that were equipped on the Ferrari BB512.

  8. All the doors weather stripping are new.

  9. All front window channels for the power windows and the fixed front door windows are new.

  10. All front window outside rubber and inside felt are new.

  11. Complete engine rebuilt by Norwood Performance (Bob Norwood) costing more than $15,000.  Every engine part that you can name was replaced including clutch.  I have all the receipts.

  12. The ignition system was converted to one distributor with electronic pick up sensor, one coil and MSD ignition system.  The kit was supplied by Norwood Performance.  This kit costs about $1,800 and is one of the best upgrades you can perform on the carbureted 308’s.

  13. All smog equipment has been removed from the car.

  14. Brand new European model Ansa exhaust system.  No catalytic converter.  The car sounds awesome.

  15. Brand new European model stainless steel front and rear exhaust headers

  16. All front and rear A-arms bushings both inner and outer were completely replaced.  I mean every single bushing.

  17. Ball joints were replaced.

  18. All bushings for the sway arms were replaced.

  19. All bushings on the Koni suspensions were replaced.

  20. Steering tire rod ends were replaced.

  21. Car was aligned.

  22. New 16” Ferrari wheel, New Hankook Ventus R-S3 tires, 205/50/16 front and 206/45/16 rear.  These are the correct tire sizes for this car and the front wheel do not rub on the wheel wells when the steering wheel is completely turned.

  23. The replacement of all the bushings, and the wider tires makes this car very tight and enjoyable to drive.

  24. New Bosch battery.

  25. Cold air conditioning.

  26. There is a small patch repair on the top of the dash and it is not visible from inside the car when seated.

The car drives perfectly, shifts great including the 2nd gear synchro.

As you can see this car was fully restored the way every Ferrari should be restored and not the Ferraris that are worth few hundred thousand dollars.  The car has original 92,000 miles on it, the complete engine rebuilt was done around 70,000, because the car is completely free of smog accessories, has the upgraded single electronic ignition conversion, system, and the European exhaust system, it has much more low end and wide open performance compare to the other carbureted 308’s.  I had a 1979 308 GT4 a few years ago with 10,000 original miles and this drives so much better and a lot more fun to drive.

The car was just recently checked and the carbs were tuned by a reputable Ferrari service and restoration shop in Redondo Beach, California.  The owner of the shop told me that this is one of the nicest 308 GT4’s that he has driven and has much more power.

Please call me at 310-892-2177 with any questions and serious buyers are welcome to inspect the car.

Ferrari F60 America is a powerful, exclusive US special

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

Ferrari is observing its 60th anniversary in North America this year, and to celebrate, it's given us this: the F60 America, an incredibly exclusive supercar based on the already outrageous F12 Berlinetta. Want one? Too bad. Production has been limited to just 10 examples, and according to Ferrari, "the wonderfully elegant and unique F60 America has entranced US collectors and all 10 examples are already spoken for."
Entranced, indeed. It's a slick-looking machine, with clear revisions over the F12's already svelte bodywork. The F60 America takes the form of a roadster, with carbon fiber-trimmed flying buttresses that stretch from behind the cabin to the rear of the car. There's no power soft- or hardtop available - instead, Ferrari says the car can be closed off with a light fabric top that's usable at speeds of up to about 75 miles per hour.
The F60 is painted in the classic North American Racing Team livery, with a unique 60th anniversary Prancing Horse on the wheel arches and transmission tunnel inside the cabin. That NART tribute explains the car's seriously limited production run, as well. The 1967 Ferrari 275 GTS4 NART Spider - a car importer Luigi Chinetti specifically requested from Enzo Ferrari for US customers - was also capped at just 10 units.

Dubai police add Ferrari FF to keep Lambo company

Thu, 18 Apr 2013

Supercars are a sulky lot by nature. Leave them to their own devices and they'll quickly grow despondent. That's why so many owners have more than one exotic in the stable. The Dubai Police seem to have caught on to that fact, having just added a Ferrari FF to help keep the force's new Lamborghini Aventador company. The duo will patrol the city's more affluent regions to promote the area's image as a mecca for money.
Mission: accomplished.
Of course, the Dubai PD certainly isn't the first law enforcement agency to adopt flashy cruisers, and car gods willing, it won't be the last. There was the Nissan GT-R gussied up for police duty, as well as the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 and the Mitsubishi Evo X, but we have to say the DPD certainly has the most lust-worthy stable at the moment.

Ferrari F150 Enzo successor is Geneva bound [UPDATE]

Sun, 10 Feb 2013

Ferrari has announced the automaker will debut the company's "most powerful HyperFerrari [sic]" at this year's Geneva Motor Show. The news came courtesy of Instagram, where the Italian automaker posted a familiar-looking rendering with a quick note. Details are still remarkably scarce, though Ferrari says the successor to the Enzo throne will be able to "turn into a corner" as quick as a Formula One car thanks in part to the fact that the road-going machine will feature as much downforce as an F1 competitor. From what we've heard so far, the Enzo replacement will boast over 800 horsepower from the combination of a V12 engine and a HY-KERS system.
We've already heard some interesting tidbits about the new machine, including the fact that each model will come with a driver's seat tailor made for the buyer. Ferrari says we can also expect to see a quicker 0-120 mph sprint than the old Enzo with 40 percent fewer emissions. Stay tuned for live photos from the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
UPDATE: After some looking into it, Ferrari does not appear to have an official Instagram account, or at least doesn't list one alongside its other official social accounts. We're of the mind now that what appeared on this Instragram is not officially from the Horse's mouth.
